You can step up to a larger scale very easily. It's hard to go back to the little ones though. How about a Henry J?

How about a Lamborghini Espada or 350GT?

Hmmmmm, let me see, imports.... I have a vintage Jag racecar, a 49 Anglia, a Volkswagon squareback, a Fiat Topolino and a Ferrari 250 GTO. If someone wants to buy the print file, some are over $350, I would gladly print all the parts at cost plus.

I love big scales. Even if 1/12 and bigger require huge painting spaces, I guess 1/16 is just accurate.

Just coming back to modeling after a 8-year stop, I heat-up skills before starting a 1/16 MPC 1980 T/A.

I'm on the fence about larger scale stuff, in general. My spares boxes are filled with 45+ years of 1:24/25 pieces, so that limits parts swapping with other scales, especially with wheels/tires. I like the idea of 1:12/16/18 scale kits, and the ability to have more detail, but the reality is that the subject matter would have to be really interesting to me before I would buy.

For example, I think the Revell 1:12 scale Camaro is an excellent kit, but I've built a handful of 1:25 Camaros over the last three decades, so I've no need for a large scale counterpart.

I really like big scale. Kind of fell into it with my friend Mark pushing me into it, and I’m glad he did. Here is a few big scale. Some 1/8. But I just built a 1/43 corvette. Weird I guess. But I thought I would give the small scale a try . The black cobra and the Ferrari P4 are 1/12. The Porsche engine is a 1/12 . The others except the little blue corvette is 1/8. These are just a few.

I've built a handful as a teenager. I like the ability to better detail them, but display and storage was an issue. I mainly build trucks now, and there aren't many that are larger than 1/24.

Wonderful models, but where do you display them?  I barely have room for the 1/24-5 that I have.

Hello bbowser, I have them displayed in a model room and a few in a display case in another room. I’m lucky to have a big house to put these in. As long as they are displayed right , my wife is ok with it, I have a few of these old stereo cabinets to display them. The great thing is the cases are free. One example:
