Rocketman455 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Round 2 is on to something....As seen at the 2025 Hot Rod Power Tour in Indy today. 3
peteski Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Is this an official Coca-Cola Company vehicle, or some individual just painted their ElCamino that way?

Brian Austin Posted June 14 Posted June 14 IIRC there was a fad of painting one's car in corporate logos, such as McDonald's. Big ugly wheels complete the look.

Fad? I never knew that (or seen many such privately owned cars). When was that? I guess the big wheel statement is a general statement because this particular car seems to have more or less normal size wheels. Edited June 14 by peteski

Brian Austin Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Oddly enough Google wasn't helping me come up with specific examples.
37 caddy Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I wonder if it was originally used by Coke as a company vehicle.for me that would be the only way i would even consider painting my own car like that. The number 29 on the fender was how they used to mark the company rigs?.

Might have been more popular in other parts of the country. No big loss. Only somewhat related things I've seen around here (Northeast USA) was some nicely restored milk trucks painted for some dairy companies, and then there was official Wienermobile.

That I couldn't say, what I can say is that the guys that drove it away, definitely did not work for Coke!
Rodent Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I remember seeing red cars with the white "swoosh" and logo in Northern California as a kid. IIRC, they were mostly Fords. They were probably used by salespeople for the local independent bottling company. You would also see decommissioned examples, usually faded nearly to pink, driving around or parked.
