stitchdup Posted June 20 Posted June 20 I bought the files from nitrolab3d on cults but the parts are also available from blackbox to fit the revell kit. I didn't have the revell kit so i got the 1/24 kit. It all printed great though i reprinted a few parts to lose some support marks. The fit on everything is great but i didn't push the dash in far enough so now the cage wont fit so i left it loose. The doors would work but again due to the dash they wouldn't stay shut so i glued the locks to keep them in place. The kit also has all the holes there if you want to detail it up with brake pipes but i didn't do that. The only thing i found irritating is the chassis is all one piece which made painting the shocks awkward and there is no rad. I built it without fixing these things but now i've built it I want to do a detailed version some time. Paint is duplicolour and tamiya 12
TonyK Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Your finished model looks great to me. Now that I've built a few 3d models I find good and bad things about them. The complete chassis can be a pain with detail painting but I like how it's already put together. I think your shocks look fine. 2
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted June 21 Posted June 21 That came out great. Are those headlights part of the 3d kit?

Zippi Posted June 26 Posted June 26 That's looking mighty fine there Les. Great looking 3D printed build. 1
tbill Posted July 2 Posted July 2 That looks fantastic! I’m working on the version of that using the revell kit, good stuff. But I too am dreading detailing the chassis/suspension lol 1

But I too am dreading detailing the chassis/suspension lol the shocks were a pain but the rest is all one colour so it wasn't all bad. i did the shocks with molotowe and clear tamiya green and it surprisingly worked well but i did put the tamiya on heavy with a tiny brush and only had one chance at it. i dont think it would touch up. take cars when you fit the brakes, with the weighted tyres its easy to get the angles different on each side which might be why theres no actual chassis pic in my post, lol
