yellowsportwagon Posted Friday at 11:01 PM Posted Friday at 11:01 PM (edited) This was built from a Grand Superfly kit from the doors back. The front clip was cut from a rebuilder 71 annual. I did it this way cause it was easier then sanding the front half of the vinyl roof off the annual kit. Plus the sunroof marking was a bonus. The sunroof however was too far forward so I moved it back about an eighth inch and opened it up. Spliced two Revell 66 GTO chassis to fit. Engine came from the GTO too. Made a 4 speed plate for the console. Used the wood wheel and nicer column from the GTO too. Edited Friday at 11:05 PM by yellowsportwagon 8
johnyrotten Posted Friday at 11:53 PM Posted Friday at 11:53 PM That's some fantastic surgery you did here, the finished product speaks for itself. Beautiful pontiac. 👍👍
XYHARRY Posted yesterday at 01:16 AM Posted yesterday at 01:16 AM Very nice Pontiac there Tim, your end result was well worth the extra effort. Outstanding and well done.
iwantmodels Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Well done. Awesome work. I owned a 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix. Mine was cream with a brown vinyl roof and brown interior.
Bills72sj Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago WAY COOL! I have the parts to make an SSJ. I just haven't gotten to that project yet.
DoctorLarry Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Very neat build of a beautiful car. Front fender wells look like NASCAR T Bird. This looks like something I would attempt (mine would not be this clean, though!) I use a lot of the GTO chassis under Collonades because of the detail. Lately I have been using 68 Chevelle. Same wheelbase, excellent detail and the frame and floor pan are separate so easy to modify.

While a Monte rode a 116 and the rest of the two doors rode a 112 wheelbase. Edited 8 hours ago by yellowsportwagon
espo Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The white and gold paint treatment is really striking looking. Like the wheels and tires as well.
karbuildr Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Not only is that a beautiful replica, but that's some serious scratch building, Outstanding in every way.
ea0863 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Fantastic mash-up, and still super fly all around! Love the color combo most of all.
