nickfzr61 Posted Wednesday at 03:24 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:24 PM (edited) Finished up my build of the Revell 71 Hemi Cuda. Built pretty much out of box except for the antenna. Hood pin straps, and headlight trim rings to close of the big gap between the headlights. Also added a transmission tunnel since it was missing. Just glued a piece of styrene and smoothed with putty. I molded in the joint lines for the lower front fenders and removed the cartoonish stalks on the fog lights. Also removed the front license plate bracket. I dowloaded and printed a set of steelies and Goodyear Polyglas GT tires and wheels for $3.50. Color is Dupli-Color BGM0533. It’s a GM color but I felt it mached B5 closest. I test shot Dupli-Color BCC0422 which is a Chrysler color that supposedly matches B5 but it was too dark. Also tried Tamiya TS-19 but that was also too dark. Cleared with Dupli-Color 1K Clear. Polished with Hasegawa Ceramic Compound then Coating Polymer. Chrome is Alclad Polished Aluminum. Hope you like it. Edited Wednesday at 03:27 PM by nickfzr61 16

espo Posted Wednesday at 05:20 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:20 PM Beautiful smooth paint finish and this shade of Blue looks fantastic. Clean body trim and the side boards. like the chassis detailing.

nickfzr61 Posted Friday at 12:32 PM Author Posted Friday at 12:32 PM (edited) Had it in the shop making sure it’s good before taking it out for a run. Edited Friday at 12:32 PM by nickfzr61
Bills72sj Posted yesterday at 04:15 AM Posted yesterday at 04:15 AM Beautiful model. I have a suggestion regarding your photography. You seem to have all the light sourced from above. You may wish to move it down and face it the same direction the camera faces. The side views are not well lit.
XYHARRY Posted yesterday at 08:58 AM Posted yesterday at 08:58 AM Nice 'cuda there Nick, your head light fix looks much better. This kit has alot of short comings in the detail department but you have done well to overcome them.

I guess I’d have to take the pictures earlier in the day since these were taken on my deck with my iphone and natural light. I would like to learn how to use indoor lighting with filters and an actual camera with the proper lenses someday.

Today's cell phones take great pictures for the resolution needed to view them on a PC. I use a couple of clamp on halo lights to enhance the front lighting. They can be had from Amazon for less than $10. Great for modelers that need more light or directed light too.
STU111 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago That’s a great build of one of the wilder looking muscle Mopars. Top stuff. 👍🏻
