Nothing really interests me in 1:25, maybe I’ll get another scirocco.

Agreed.  Maybe a Scirocco.

The Nova is the "B" Team at it again.

Lousy (Unimaginative) Decals, Only 4 Tires, no extra wheels. A One & Done kit....I wish they had done better. The Lenco Trans and Tunnel Ram really limit how you can build the kit and the parts included aren't really "Pro-Street" either.

The Scirrocco is the "A" Team in Action. Great Decals, Nifty Box Art, Nice options.

The Rest of the "Class of 69" is a mixed bag, IMHO.

I like the Merc Cougar, but the Chevy and Olds are Blandly 'Meh'......

The Batmobile will be a success, but they always are.

The 2013 Camaro is a Love-It or Hate-It kinda kit. The Folks who love it will buy multiples, the rest will pass it by. Lacking an Engine is a liability, but not huge.

The Diamond Rio is nice, and good to see again. The Decals are noteworthy.

Edit:

Added Instructions for the Nova. The Lousy Box Art on the first issue must have killed sales....

A few years back, I got the early 2000s reissue of the 76 Nova with the orange car on the box. Was pleasantly surprised this "street machine" looking box art car turned out to be a fully-tubbed Pro Stock / Pro Street kit, yet perplexed that it ran on undersized rear street tires that do not fill out the tubbed interior/chassis. It's nice to see Round 2 correct this oversight.

I don't know who is calling the shots at Round 2, but they need to go. The Nova is another reissue they have butcherd. I bought 2 of them when it first came out in the 70s. It was a Pro Stock not Pro Street when it first came out. Again they have halfa$$ a pretty decent kit, they have taken the fiber glass bucket seats out and put the puffed up bucket seats in it and added mufflers and of course a new decal sheet.

They screwed up the Baja Patrol reissue, and now they screwed this one up.  I can not tell you when the last time I have bought a kit from them. I not going to pay the price what they want for a kit with less parts and more decals. It's beginning to be a joke.

Sheesh, give it a rest guys...

I still don't get the number of people who take offense if nothing in the monthly news fits their personal taste.

As for "butchering" the kits, you can hardly blame Round2 for (pointless) tooling alterations that happened under the previous ownership, and you can't expect them to spend fortunes tooling up new parts for every single reissue - only to complain that the new parts or decals weren't exactly the ones you wanted.

I’m definitely in for the Scirocco, probably the Cougar.

How did they do that, Shon.

Other than the Decals, it looks like the same old '53 Ford.

I'm not crazy about the Hot Wheels packaging, but I'm really glad they reissued the Cougar. I don't have any in the stash and haven't built one since the late 90s. Also cool to see the Scirocco available again. I missed it the last time around (2105-ish) and those new decals look pretty sweet.

I've got the Hurst Olds in the stash and I've built enough of those #6877 Batmobiles to last a lifetime, but someone will be thrilled to have them back.

I'm not much of a truck builder but the Diamond Reo has got to be a win for the big rig crowd.

I agree, I'm happy to see it return but I'm disappointed that they didn't follow through with what they normally do with the decal redesigns.

The kit alone doesn't exactly sell itself so I thought they'd take that into consideration by designing a fun graphic for the sides or a unique name for the car. Sometimes they rely too much on the nostalgia of a classic design. This time it didn't work.

I thought they'd have the Chavez & Rollet race team quarter logos but instead it's the tired recycled InNovator decal from the 72.

A catchy name to play on the prostreet theme would've been original to the rebrand. PRO Inferno, or ProDisco, CosmoNova... just off the top of my head. I'm sure they could've came up with something. They must'a blew the budget on the VW Scirooco, new box  art, decals... and tooling the Batman figure, which is pretty cool too.

Here are the differences between the three re-issues of the kinda same boxart.

I don't understand why anyone would buy  the Chevelle when Revell's kit of the same car is so vastly superior. Kind of like I fail to understand why people insist on putzing around with the awful tin box AMT Charger Daytona when the Revell Daytona kit provides a headache-free building experience.

The Hurst Olds is a good kit, but it's hard for me to figure why Round 2 felt the need to reissue it when it's plentiful and cheap on the secondary market, no doubt owing to the fact that Ollie's wound up selling off a bunch of them last time out. The regular 4-4-2 would have been a better choice, imo. Nice box art on the Olds and the Chevelle, though.

Speaking of box art, the Scirocco's is, indeed, very cool. Might have to snag one of those.

I maxed out my credit cards buying tix to the Swift / Kelce wedding, but I'm sure that I could find some loose change in the fountain at the local nudists' colony.

The AMT '69 Chevelle has some nifty , vintage customising parts - likely grab one of those.

'76 Nova... why not ? I haven't built one of those rascals in 40 years.

The '69 H/O Cutlass ( not to be conflated with a 4-4-2 ) is super nice. I positively love the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter and console ( nice piece to use in any vintage 1967-1972 race car - the '68 Hemi Dart comes to mind ) .

It still baffles me that no one knows or even bothers to research what the options are in a given kit. The "351 Windsor" engine in the Cougar sure looks a lot like the 428 from the original version of the kit. It is a good deal to get two complete engines in a kit anymore but I wish it had stock decals too.

I’m mostly holding out for the cloned ‘60 Nomad, ‘64/5 Barracuda, and ‘72 Duster that are to hopefully appear sometime this year (provided that all the tariff nonsense hasn’t caused them to be delayed or cancelled).  The Charger widebody will probably make it to my stash as well.

As for this group, I’m glad to see all of them come back into circulation, as they will invariably make some people happy.  I might pick up an Olds, because it’s a great kit and a fantastic chassis donor, the Scirocco intrigues me as well.  I will likely get yet another copy of the NASCAR Cyclone, just because.  Generally, I’m more enthused about picking up a Jeepster and BRE Datsun, when they are available, though.

I love the idea of the Nova, and would dearly love to have a nice rendition of a ‘75 thru ‘78 version, as I owned a couple 1:1s back in the day.  However, I can’t get past the misshapen roofline of the AMT kit, that looks a little chopped and a little too squared off, and has since day one.  Not to criticize, and perhaps if I didn’t have a personal history with these cars I wouldn’t even notice, but it’s a red flag for me.  Luckily, the recent ex-MPC ‘79 Nova has a much better roof (not perfect, but usable), and I see that ‘few sprues loose’ has grilles for ’75 thru ‘78 Novas that should work with minor modifications to the front fascia, so that’s the route I will take.

Anyhow… I will always be happy to see new releases/reissues, even if they won’t find a home with me.  It speaks to the health of the hobby, and that’s always a good thing!

I'll be going for the 68 Coronet R/T 1/64th diecast.  I wonder if this is an indication that a larger 1/18 68 Coronet is coming in the near future?
