rattle can man Posted Tuesday at 07:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:13 PM I've just raided a newer release '32 Vicky for parts to complete a partial phaeton kit. The body and interior bucket are different, but everything else is identical. 1

I should have recorded some of it, but, then again, I don't think some of it was printable for mass consumption! LOL! Best Tom West story I know was he told me he threw away a large box of 1/16 Aurora test shots because he was moving and didn't think anyone would want them. While I never met him, we had several internet conversations. 1

He had the remains of one of the articulated molds to make the 1/16 engine blocks that got busted up when an employee was not paying attention and tried using it in the wrong working order. I wonder if his son might have it in his possession?

Radretireddad Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago An AMT deuce tudor will complete the series in my stash. Even though I own all the Revell iterations, I still enjoy the simplicity and versatility of the AMT lineup. 2

I only had the pleasure of meeting Tom West once, when I picked up a donation he was making (mostly literature, etc.) to the Model Car Builders Museum back in 2007. He was indeed a fine gentleman with an outstanding resume. 1
Mark Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I wish I'd picked up some of the prints of Tom West's cutaway drawings back when he offered them! 1

I remember that sitting in his living room, with tons of his 1/16 funnies he was producing for Racing Champions at the time. Sure miss him every time I go to the Hot Rod Reunion.
