Hello, everybody at Model Cars Magazine Forum,

Is it customary to introduce oneself when new to this forum? If not, feel free to ignore or delete this message.

If so, Hello, I'm Curtis Bertschi and go by ChillyB on several car-model-related forums (yes, that should be "fora") and some of you probably already know me. I certainly recognize several member names here. I primarily build in 1/24 and 1/25 scales and prefer European cars of the 1950s and 1960s. Lately I've been building also recent WRC and JGTC racers. I've been building for about four years now. This year I had the great good fortune to win second place at the GSL show/contest with my Hasegawa Ferrari Testa Rossa. Not much else to tell, but if you have questions feel free to e-mail me. I hope to be a positive contributor to the forum, so I better get to looking around.

Hey old buddy...

Welcome to the "other" forum! ;)

Just one request... could you post in a slightly larger font? What you used here might be kind of hard for some to read. (I'm just looking out for the old guys like George!:D;) )

There's another forum?

WHAT YOU TALKING ABOUT???

You mean this thing?

Well, I've heard rumors of another forum, not that I've been there myself....

And, yes, that's the "thing" I meant. Like it?

Thanks, everybody, for the cordial words of welcome.

Wowzers! That's a sweet one. What 's available in the way of 50's and 60's Euro stuff? Are their Lotus Cortinas and odd stuff we don't see much of here?

And since you are new here, just what are your feelings about energy consumption of the painting processes used by the 1:1 carmakers?

Thanks, Simon. I thought I saw your name here somewhere. Now we can assure that our favorite subjects are represented among the modelers here.

Samdiego, there are a bunch of midcentury European cars available from Tamiya, Fujimi, Revell, Heller, and others. Some are common, like VWs and Porsches, others are less common, like Citroens and Renaults.

Here's a Beetle I built:
