GMasterG Posted Saturday at 03:00 PM Posted Saturday at 03:00 PM Hello everyone An old dear friend who is now too old to build models, gave me this kit to build a replica of his E-type jag that he drove up to the day his licence was revoked. I pulled it out today to commence work and noticed that the clear parts are all cracked and unuseable. Before I invest in a complete kit I wanted to post this in the hope that someone might have the sprue of clear parts in their spare box and would be willing to part with it. Any offers greatly appreciated Regards Grant

Bainford Posted Sunday at 01:00 AM Posted Sunday at 01:00 AM Ditto. If you could post a photo of the box, it would help. I recently parted out an E-Type and may still have the glass. I'm away from home right now, but can check when I return in a week.

GLMFAA1 Posted Monday at 12:40 AM Posted Monday at 12:40 AM The monogram kit was a re-pop of the old Aurora kit so you might be able to find the glass from that kit also. greg
Bugatti Fan Posted Monday at 09:27 AM Posted Monday at 09:27 AM Hope to can locate what you are looking for as it's a bit of a long shot. You may have to resort to an alternative kit. Revell's looks to be the most easily available, but the roof line looks a bit odd on their coupe version. Heller and Gunze come to mind as two others. I think that the Gunze one was marketed for a time under the Airfix label. I don't think that Tamiya ever kitted the E Type, more's the pity, and surprised that they never did ! SMTS did a roadster in 1/24th as a ?limited run white metal kit that is quite comp!ex.
Exotics_Builder Posted Monday at 02:52 PM Posted Monday at 02:52 PM If I recollect, and I'll check downstairs as I have the kit, that is a 1/25 not 1/24 kit. The old Auroras like the Jag, 250 GTO, Maserati and Aston DB4 were 1/25. Those were the ones picked up by Revell.
TarheelRick Posted Monday at 05:09 PM Posted Monday at 05:09 PM If you have something you are willing to trade I have a sealed Revell kit, says it is a 1/24 scale. Only stipulation is you need to be located in the 48 continental United States, international shipping is astronomical. Let me know.

I have seen this kit for sale, I will keep it in mind as a fall-back position. I reached out to a member of these forums yesterday and he has located the part amongst his stash and very kindly offered to send it to me. If all goes well, I may be able to avoid having to buy an entirely new kit. Cheers Grant
