G’day all, I recently finished this build of a car l owned in the 80’s. The HQ series of Holdens built from 71-74, were the main GM brand here in Australia with the Kingswood being the volume seller of the range. They sold well and by the mid 80’s were plentiful on the used car market and were snapped up by young guys for modifying and customising. I bought this one in ‘84, the deep offset wheels were already on it. I lowered it, put a floor shift in and as she was running the inline 6, had plans for a 350  V8 and 4 speed but never got around to it, I lost interest and sold it for something else. I had some good times in that old Holden and was sorry to hear some years later that it was written off in a smash. But, it lives on in 1/24 scale.IMG_2517.jpeg.7cae8648b91a73eb36530ad35d37a0b8.jpegIMG_2851.jpeg.f7554dfa27c6fb273e7ee32b44e760d7.jpegIMG_2171.jpeg.253a5bf775bc214df62c3abbfc4a8073.jpegIMG_2857.jpeg.7ee07cc96c9194dd69146b5e8a03d3fb.jpegIMG_2850.jpeg.6a5ad4cf48295f58ef97c62ca06d7d77.jpegIMG_2853.jpeg.9c7efc511770bc1f7281045cfc7d46af.jpegIMG_2854.jpeg.4412c5d478c7bcbc52e8638a669ac472.jpegIMG_2856.jpeg.93e15485917768e650c9ec7654b05d0e.jpegIMG_2855.jpeg.66cf35991dbcdd70ec0296e569dbaa2a.jpegAs always, any comments, the good, the bad and the ugly are welcome. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart.👍🏻

Looks great Stu, I also owned a few HQs in the 80s. I'm building the slammed version  right now and hope it turns out as nice as yours. Well done mate.
