According to Tom Daniel this release will be sans the triplane - so I guess much like the first release. 

 

Also, for those interested, the box art is a slight reworking of the 1/12 Big Red Baron drawing.

Good to get a second chance at having one or two of these! This, Quicksilver '60 wagon, and the Badman '55 are my earliest model car memories, and why I still love model cars. Thank you, Tom D., and thanks Atlantis for bringing this back.

Stuff like this has never been my cup of tea.

However, over the years I've seen how many people love this kit and have a deep emotional attachment to it (similar to Badman, etc.).

Think this will be a HUGE seller for Atlantis.

Atlantis said they don't have the 1/12 Red Baron but they do have all the 1/32 Tom Daniel's snap kits !

I’ll probably be be for a Red Baron kit. Built one as a kid and really enjoyed it.

SO........if Revell has the 1/12 Red Baron that means we will never see it as Revell has burned the TD bridge........

Wasn't there a reissue of the 1/12 version awhile back?  If so, where it was made might figure into Atlantis not having it.

Good! I nearly pulled the trigger on a 50.00 example. I'm no collector so paying collector prices irks me. Last time this was in production was?

You are NOT alone Dave. I had a MIB box example I got at a yard sale and sold it because the prices were insane. I couldn't bring myself to build it. But hey! I never thought I'd see the Unreal Roller or Sidewinder either so there is hope brother.
