Rob Hall Posted Wednesday at 02:35 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:35 PM I like that...though Zeus Bronze is my favorite C8 color.
Xingu Posted Wednesday at 03:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:42 PM If the color has the words "Sea Foam" in it, it will be ugly. 1
Big Messer Posted Wednesday at 03:55 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:55 PM Personal favorite is Plum Crazy, but read my previous post also...
StevenGuthmiller Posted Wednesday at 04:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:25 PM Let’s face it. It’s not so much the colors. It’s the modern automobile that’s ugly!! Steve 2 2
Falcon Ranchero Posted Wednesday at 05:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:39 PM (edited) Seems that there's not technically such a thing as an "ugly colour" because of the vast types of people that have different tastes. Plus, I've seen beautiful stock appearing '50s, '60s and maybe a few '70s cars that had been re-painted with these modern colours and look very nice. Like an econoline pickup I saw at a show, had some newer Toyota or mazda silvery colour or something. Was stock otherwise and looked quite nice to me. It's basically what Steve mentioned above, it is indeed the modern "vehicles" that have lost the luster, and so they may come across as hideous in some colours, meanwhile if you saw a vintage car in, even the first colour in this thread, you probably wouldn't hate it. espo Posted Wednesday at 09:13 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:13 PM As a good note on car colors, I have noticed some new or late model cars with some rich colors often looking almost like a Candy type finish. Far too many newer cars and trucks in shades of Silver and Gray as well as White or Black. Doesn't seem to be a lot of imagination in the color palates anymore.

bobss396 Posted Thursday at 08:38 AM Posted Thursday at 08:38 AM I had my old Ford on the road for about a week in 2016, in primer (as it still is...). Some guy in a new Mustang, a hideous shade of yellow, pulls up next to me and asks me what color I was going to paint it. My reply was, surely not baby poo yellow... he was not pleased. 2
Earl Marischal Posted Thursday at 09:00 AM Posted Thursday at 09:00 AM I’m quite taken with some of the variations on sage green that are appearing on some modern cars, if not the vehicles themselves. That said, green is my favourite colour. 🙂 steve 2
Rob Hall Posted Thursday at 03:12 PM Posted Thursday at 03:12 PM Not really into the matte and 'frozen' finishes that have been trendy in recent years either..I like shiny.

I'm surprised by the number of 1970 cars which were slathered in FM3! Apparently, it was also special ordered on a couple of 1971 cars , and, allegedly on a couple of 1972 models ( I've only seen the 1971 Charger R/T in FM3 ; its paint code isn't the usual-for-Chrysler "999" - it's "148" or something rather unusual.)
Rob Hall Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM Chrysler definitely had some interesting colors back then. My favorites are the more subtle colors like F8 Green, Winchester Gray, and this burnt orange (not sure what it was called). 2
