TECHMAN Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Our Walmart had some of those kits in the most recent model display they received, but in just a couple days, they were all gone. Am pretty certain, they were the first thing to sell out...... Cool kit!!!! DJ
Luc Janssens Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Interesting to learn that this generation GM trucks are so popular, maybe even more so then the previous generation?

The Rounded Line generation had such a long run in 1:1, they were what I remember growing up a a kid in the 70s-80s. Good looking trucks. 2
Platerpants Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I just want to know if any North East Ohio Stores have them... I work part time at The Aurora/Bainbridge store and have not seen any. Anyone got any info on say Chardon, Middlefield, Streetsboro or Mentor? Any others not too far out of that range? 😂🤷♂️ Definitely want a couple but I refuse to pay the $50 they want on Ebay.

Closest to me would be Eastlake or South Euclid. 1

The Action Line of 1967-1972 is a timeless design. However, its relatively short run made their presence - especially in regions where rust is a major issue - fleeting vs. the long-running Rounded Line ( "Square Body" , colloq. ) . 3 hours ago, Rob Hall said: The Rounded Line generation had such a long run in 1:1, they were what I remember growing up a a kid in the 70s-80s. From the different grilles, to the base model hubcaps' design , to the different emblems' fonts... Even the most basic model ( Custom DeLuxe , et alia ) was still captivating .

I really don't remember seeing many pre '73 GM trucks around in the late 70s and 80s in NE Ohio..maybe many had rusted away by then. Sort of had a few Rounded Line pickups in my family. After my Dad retired from school administration in 1978, he went to manage a community agency that winterized homes (put in new windows, insulation, etc) for low income people. He had a couple C10 company trucks--both dark green long beds w/ white bumpers--a '78 and then later an '81 IIRC. I remember riding in them as a kid...I think they were both 2wd w/ 6 cyl and automatics. Then in the late 90s-mid oughts when I lived 2000 miles away, my older brother owned for a few years a bright yellow '77 shortbed step side with a tube grille, rake, Cragar SS wheels, big rear tires. I don't recall what engine it had, but I recall him complaining about poor gas mileage. He later traded it on a clean black '99 BMW 740iL..(I think the only 'foreign' car he owned out of 50+ vehicles in over 50 years of driving). Edited 9 minutes ago by Rob Hall
