Yes, this is a beef.

I need help in order to get in touch with MCM, I still have not received my #227 and trying to get something of a reply from them in order to send me a copy.

Before you suggest; try to send them a mail at subscribe@modelcarsmag.com or fill in the form on the website, I did all that.

My first mail to subscribe@modelcarsmag.com dates from october 31st, where I requested a new copy, since I haven't received my magazine.

A reminder was sent at november 13th.

After that, I tried to include @Dave Ambrose, as he seemed to be involved with the MCM team, but no reponse.
I tried both forms on the Modelcarsmag.com website, no response.
I tried the gregg@modelcarsmag.com mail, but no response (not surprisingly, but that was in the foreword of #227, and I never received it)

I tried to respond to @Xingu's topic, but there is also no response.
I tried the info@modelcarmakers mail, Huray! I did got a response, but was somewhat disappointing;  "we can't help as we are separated from MCM....Even though as they are black-and-white correct, you can not tell me it is a hard break-up and they couldn't forward the message/request.

I tried Facebook, but guess what? no response.

I really do grant MCM the business and I don't care much about the long intervals in between magazines. But the complete lack of decency of responding to a missing issue request, it really really regrets me that I renewed my subscription.

So, I am asking for help, who can or knows how to get in touch with SOMEONE from the magazine , who knows SOMEONE at the magazine that can help me to get me my missing #227?

Please!

I totally understand the frustration.

But when Dave purchased the digital assets and separated from MCM the magazine, it really was a full break. Dave no longer has access to anything MCM related, other than Gregg's email and phone. And your concern has been forwarded to Gregg, both by Dave and myself. Unfortunately, that is really as far as we have the ability to take it. We don't have access to additional copies of the mag or back issues, or the magazine mailing lists or subscription lists, or anything at all. These are now two completely seperate business entities, whose only connection is that Gregg and Dave are still friends. Other than letting Gregg know there's an issue, what more can we do?

It is not an assault at the Forum or it's team. Really.

But since the break-up has been very, very recent, I was hoping that there still would be short lines in communication here and there and that's all.

My frustration is at the magazine itself, I find it utter and complete disrespectful to not even have the decency to react. Sure, it can take a while and sure, we are all humans that can make mistakes. I would be the last person to say that everything I do goes 100% correct.

But, not being responded to after many, many weeks, is not how we deal with eachother in this small modelling world.

So I am hoping that someone, knows someone that knows someone at the magazine that CAN help out.

Unfortunately other than the announcement about the forum being separate there has not been much activity.  There wasn't even a screenshot or announcement for issue 227. Hopefully this will be resolved in the near future.

Erik, you must be quite disappointed at getting no feedback about your subscriber copy issue 227 not arriving.

You have paid for it after all. It's a commercial publication and should get back to you as your subscription is a business transaction.  Keep trying and good luck !

You could try the facebook page,

I did, (see first post), I included MCM as a tag in my comment on their post, but they choose (yes, it is a deliberate choice) not to respond.

@Bugatti Fanthanks!  It is just frustrated. Everybody knows the struggles of Gregg and the team with the magazine and that is perfectly fine, I am not that worried about that.

But what really irks me, is the fact that they can not be bothered at all, to have the smallest amount of decency to respond.

With the splitting of the forum from the magazine, the lack of response from the magazine to your question about a missing issue, makes one wonder if the magazine has ceased production? The fact that there have only been a couple of issues released over the last year indicates that there is a problem and if people have left the magazine to focus on other things, what/who is left to pick up the pieces?  A simple response to you or the members here would go a long way.

Makes me wonder if the magazine is just a one-man operation now, and considering Gregg's health challenges....

The magazine went through some production issues with haphazard distribution a few years back but appeared to be picking up again under Larry Greenberg's editorship.

Maybe Larry Greenberg might be Erik's best port of call if he is getting nowhere so far with others to find out the current state of play with the magazine?
