Pierre Rivard Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Vignale bodied Ferrai 375MM driven by Phil Hill (Richie Ginther co-pilot) to a second place finish at the last (1954) edition of the very dangerous Carrera Panamericana. Fernando Pinto resin kit. I built it close to OOB save for some engine and instrument panel detailing. Primer was spray can applied but all other finishes were brush painted. I chose to finish the vehicle in a satin finish and add weathering to reflect the car at the end of a long day of racing on dusty roads. Edited 11 hours ago by Pierre Rivard 3
Claude Thibodeau Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Salut Pierre! Wow, great build, bravo! The light weathering is effective, and the patina of the seats is absolutely life-like. World class. CT
drodg Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Wow ! Fantastic build and yes that patina is something.
1959scudetto Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Your excellent detail work and convincing weathering turned this resin kit into a marvellous replica, Pierre - bravo ! You must send the pictures to Fernando!
MarkJ Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Pierre, as per usual your build is an amazing thing to behold. The realism you add to your models is unequalled in its perfection by anyone else. it's always such a joy to watch the images over and over again picking up something new every time. As I always say, I cannot wait till your next offering to us mere mortals. Don't make us wait too long.
Bruce Scully Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A great build ,this looks so right. Your weathering is really well done.
