dimaxion Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Real or model? The answer FRIDAY! Due to the screw in the front lense , it is real . That's my vote . Thanx..
MrObsessive Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Due to the screw in the front lense , it is real . That's my vote . Thanx.. That was my thought too John as soon as I seen it. It's a definite REAL to me!
george 53 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Is that a Saleen? If it is, I've never seen such a detailed model. The door/hood lines are TOO perfect, the headlights look kinda funny,an the screws COULD be P/E. But I'm gonna go wit REAL!!!! Your back inna groove Harry, this ones gonna be close!
george 53 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 OK Led, NO goofin around Dude, this is SERIOUS stuff! I don't think a YES qualifies as an answer, so give us a guess, after all, it's ONLY a game!!!!( Plus I been right 4 weeks inna row! )
gbdolfans Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Hi Harry, I am going with real. It just looks it to me,very detailed. You are getting to good at this, causing many hours of getting my little brain fried.
ismaelg Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 It looks GREAT! But I say model. There is something funny about the wiper. Not that I've been very good at this but anyways.......

George I do not know what it is ....but I love the headset on the seat!!!
FujimiLover Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Okay guy's, this is a Mclaren F1 GTR street-legal racing car. Whom ever suggested it was a Saleen is WAY WAY WAY off. First off, the Mclaren is the only car I know of that has three seats configured like this. Plus, it's much shorter than the Saleen. The Saleen is a very long car. Remember Jim Carry's Bruce Almighty? Remember when he received god's powers and changed his damaged Datson 280Z for a super car? That was the Saleen. I'm going to go with a model this time, and I'll say it's another one of Kyosho's 1/18 scale jobs. Could also be AutoArt as they are just as good at making those little details. Either case, it's another 1/18 scale model.
blubaja Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 The wheels look a tad off. Looks like diecast by 1/12th. Way too clean for the resin kit.
envious8420 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 a few things said model to me. 1 is the horrible photoshopped shadow in the front. 2 the apparent lack of any type of camber/toe in the suspension. 3 there looks like a wad of wax inside the roof scoop.
Nick Winter Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 This is my first Real or model and I'm gonna go with model, I'm not sure what but something about it says model to me. Nick
Draggon Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 The panel gaps and the headlights look to good to be a model. However, if its done in 1/8, that might be possible...........Somehow, I just dont like the shine on those tires, and the vavle stems look awfully large. Im gonna havta go with model on this one!
Joe Handley Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Model, headlights don't look "right", the tires are lacking sidewall detail (like a lack of GoodYear licensing ) panel lines look too good, and dash looks like it's been molded from plastic and not painted or finished beforehand.
Guest Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Going with my gut, I think it's amodel, but a very good one.
Zoom Zoom Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Interesting to watch the replies on this one. It started out with a large majority voting "real", but as people have commented that lead has evaporated to a majority of "model".
MikeMc Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 If you can fool Mr.O..........then you can fool me!
george 53 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Fuje, THANKS for clearing that up for me! I THOUGHT it had something to do with Furds,McLaren USED to build Mustangs din't they? THAT'S why I said Saleen. Oh well Right idea,WRONG builder! Still a NICE lookin car! wonder if ya gotta get used ta drivin from the MIDDLE of the car though.
The Red Ranger Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 The screws for the lights seem a little too noticeable. I wouldn't notice them that much on a real car, I don't think, I never really look for them though. I still have to say Model though.
Harry P. Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 Interesting to watch the replies on this one. It started out with a large majority voting "real", but as people have commented that lead has evaporated to a majority of "model". Yep, I've noticed that in past ROMs too. The people who vote early tend to be voting what they really think, the people who vote later seem to look at the vote so far and then tend to vote the way the majority has gone. "Herd mentality"... But the best voters are the ones who vote after I already gave the answer! There's a few of those "late voters" every week.
