The ZR1 and the ACR are both wanted additions. That '62 Impala was just announced last week or something, right? That '66 is going to be awesome. Got to get a couple of those Lawman kits too.

Brendan Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 With the new Viper coming out, it gives a good base to make the Woodhouse Viper that runs in the SPEED GT Series. The Corvette looks really good too.

They had some built-ups out, they're most definately 1/32nd scale. I think there were some others in the original series but as far as I know these are the only four they're doing. -Steve

I wish to heck that Grand Am was 1/24-25th scale! That's one car begging to be done right as a standard kit! Can that Vega be built stock? Sigh.................The '66 Chevy while it looks to be a nice kit, still will have that off angle rear window like the '65 hardtop.

ZR1 & Viper look like the wheel/tire combos might be a bit small, or the sloppy ride height/track on the test shots make them look small. 66 Impala side glass profile looks a bit too sharp where it blends from the horizontal to the angle of the C pillar. Not sure about the rear windshield surround. I hear you on the Grand Am! I think the Vega is like the Lindberg Gremlin...a toylike 1/20 scale street machine. Not a serious model for serious modelers.

Not a serious model for serious modelers. I'll second that on the Grand Am, didn't Juha Airio make one? I'd be happy even if it's in resin. Bob is right on the money about the Vega. However I have seen some nice looking Lindberg Gremlins that were heavily kit bashed in to some pretty cool looking models. I'm sure someone will figure a way to do the same with the Vega too. -Steve

Since they are in test shot phase and slated for first half of 2010 I would suspect we won't see them until the end of 2010. The very back half. Revell's system of releasing kits changes all the time. No one will be able to give you a specific date on when it will be released. But if Revell is anything like it has been you can expect delays. I hope so, those are the only 2 announcements I'm even partially excited about but the too small wheels will kill the vette I'm tired of having to buy a set of aftermarket wheels for all my kits..lol

carrucha Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) If you're asking about the "Fun in a Box" models Ed, they're 1/32 scale. The "Fun in a Box" Lindberg snap kits are not 1/32 scale. I found out the hard way. Last year I bought the 1997 issue of the 1974 Grand Prix from ModelExpress.net. I didn't like the wheels so I bought Revell's 1/32 scale 1968 GTO snap kit for the wheels. I was surprised to find that the GTO is longer than the Grand Prix. The Grand Prix body is 5 1/4 inches long and the GTO body is 6 1/8 inches long. The Lindberg box states the model is 1/32 but I'm guessing it's actually 1/43 scale. Lindberg had the wrong scale on the 1997 box and again this time.
