rmvw guy Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) This is what it looked like. I spent most of the day trying to post this picture. Maybe next week I'll actually get to work on the models. lol Edited February 5, 2012 by rmvw guy
crazyjim Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I spent all day traveling to/from Jacksonville for JaxCon 2012 yesterday. Today me & Marcia did the ballast on the tracks of the train layout. No pics because it just doesn't seem right for here. But come the day I do a SHINY steam engine, maybe . . . Now we gotta get ready for the Superbowl. I don't even know who's playing and don't even care. We watch it for the commercials and half-time. A friend of ours niece is a background singer - 3rd riser up and 3rd from the right side.
vwrabbit Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Pics of my Saturday work on my 55 Vette. Pulled the grille out of the purple pond. No more chrome. Tim
rmvw guy Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I'm impressed with the work on your grill! How did you manage that? I've already ruined one.

rmvw guy Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Yea I know it looks like a fleet. I've been looking at them thinking about Andy Warhole for some reason. I just decided to try something differant and take on several at once to use up part of my stash. So far I've got one finished.
hotrod59f100 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Here is a shot of my work bench i took this last sat. my work area the movie keith I've finally found some one who has more kiss stuff then my cousin. Lol
vwrabbit Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Thanks! I used a pin vise drill to open up a small hole in between and then a jewelers file to open it up more. I need a slightly smaller file to get it perfect. Need to also figure out a way to get all the fuzzies cleaned up from the file. I'm impressed with the work on your grill! How did you manage that? I've already ruined one.

Chuck Most Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Tools and garage items have been the name of the game of late for me, and the saga of the junk-box lawn tractor continues....
martinfan5 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Chuck, those tool sets look very familar, I know one set came with some NASCAR kits back in the late 80's early 90's
Chuck Most Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 It's a mix of Monogram and Fujimi, with a little bit of AMT stuff tossed in. The Monogram stuff came with a tandem-axle car hauler.
martinfan5 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I could place the monogram and the fujimi, but what came from the trailer?
Chuck Most Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 The white toolchest, the two white air wrenches, and the jack.
martinfan5 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Thats the same stuff that came with the NASCAR kits then, I remember having the trailer kit, but dont remember the tools ,hmm
