Hello all, I am wanting to place an order with Motor City Resin for a couple kits (The Torino and Ranchero) and was just wondering about them as a company. I've never dealt with them before and i've not read anything negative but i'm just wondering about the quality of the castings, (campared to, lets say, the Modelhaus) turn around time for shipping and general service overall.

Thanks

I have one that I am working on I posted some pictures of it in the resin section here last nite. I have never had Modelhaus resin before, but have had some resin from F&F,Replicas in miniature, perrys, and jimmy flintstone. I would consider the Motor City stuff as really good quality and you could build a respectable model.

I just had ta throw my .02 worth. Jeff has a winner in those Torino Kits! I have the wagon, I've seen the castings on the Ranchero, and they ARE like a regular plastic kits! The quality is just as good as the Modelhaus, in my opinion! By all means,go ahead and" order with confidence",as they say,You WON'T be sorry!biggrin.gifwink.gif

I am building the 69 Formal Roof Cobra right now and it is like working with plastic. The kit matches up perfectly to the AMT 69 Cobra kit. The quality from Jeff and service is fantastic.

Yes, they are nice kits. Service is great as well. Jeff put alot of work into his masters and, his molding proccess. All that hard work pays off in the end. Shop with them once and, you will be abck for more.

I've done business with MCRC for 15+ years, bought a couple '60 Ford resin kits from Jeff at the NNL Nationals in October.  No problems, great quality and customer service.

Yes it does. I met them and Kris Morgan at one of the Detroit shows in the past. They are all good guys, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them. Actually I placed an order with Kris last week.

That Torino looks good!!

The pics don't do it justice. If you didn't know it was resin, you'd swear it was a kit part molded from that lovely 1960s white styrene.

These are the '60 Ford conversions I got from MCRC at the NNL Nationals in October...Galaxie Town Victoria 4dr ht and Fairlane 4dr sedan.   Both very nice.   The Slant 6 is an MCRC product also.
