mountaindewd Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 (edited) Came across this the other day. This car is stunning! I think the 14 spoke wheels are more fitting with the design. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/stunning-morgan-eva-gt-revealed/251896/pictures/stunning-morgan-eva-gt-revealed.aspx?im=379034 Edited August 22, 2010 by mountaindewd
jeffs396 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Pretty cool! Looks alot like a Bugatti in the front...
charlie8575 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 $108,804.50 as of just now according to the currency converter at 70,000 Pound Sterling. And as far as I'm concerned, a better buy than a lot of the houses in that price range around here. Stunning car. Who sells Morgans in the U.S. now? That looks like the most fun 40 miles a gallon I could have. Charlie Larkin
Joe Handley Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 That is a stunning looking car Are they keeping the wood frames and body structuer under those?
Jon Cole Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Dang, that is nice! They have been an interesting car company... even a current LeMans competitor IIRC. What I don't recall is if Morgan, during much of the "post war" years, was still using wood in their framework?
mountaindewd Posted August 22, 2010 Author Posted August 22, 2010 (edited) I read a write up about Morgan having to fell a few trees to repair Richard Hammonds recently wrecked Morgan Aeromax. http://www.carsuk.net/the-hamster-wrecks-his-morgan/ Update: "The Eva GT looks stunning. And it’s modern, with its bonded aluminium chassis and superformed aluminium body panels making this a complete 21st century Morgan." Edited August 22, 2010 by mountaindewd

Morgan has finally come into the 21st Century!!
Harry P. Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Side view and rear 3/4 view... pretty good. Front end... eeeeyoooowww! Major league ugly! That grille is totally out of place.
Danno Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 I see they've scrapped its original name in favor of Eva GT. It was originally called the Morgan Aardvark RT , a more appropriate although less marketable moniker.
Harry P. Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 With that honkin' grille they could call it the Morgan Schnozolla...
Jim Gibbons Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Side view and rear 3/4 view... pretty good. Front end... eeeeyoooowww! Major league ugly! That grille is totally out of place. You have to admit it's a heck of a lot better than the cross-eyed look of the Aero!
Harry P. Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 You have to admit it's a heck of a lot better than the cross-eyed look of the Aero! This one and the Aero... two kinds of ugly.
Zoom Zoom Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 This one and the Aero... two kinds of ugly. Yup. The new one looks about 75% okay...but the remaining 25% just doesn't cut it...still looks like a 3rd world kit car.
Cato Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 A Veyron-esque attempt at chic. Almost an Aston/Veyron DNA.
Chuck Most Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Side view and rear 3/4 view... pretty good. Front end... eeeeyoooowww! Major league ugly! That grille is totally out of place. It's been said before, but allow me to say it again...At least it isn't cross-eyed like the Aero 8! Edited August 23, 2010 by Chuck Most
Chuck Most Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 One other thing... is it named after Eva Braun?
Harry P. Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 One other thing... is it named after Eva Braun? No, Eva Gabor.
Jim Gibbons Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 One other thing... is it named after Eva Braun? Shades of Fawlty Towers..."I mentioned the war once, but I think I got away with it!"
