Rick Schmidt Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Finished up my Maggie last night pretty straight forward build painted Testors 1 coat Mythical Maroon
ian ashton Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Looks great! My dad has this exact car, I also built the kit for him, looks just like yours!
Chuck Most Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Very nice color on Maggie, Rick! Been a while since I've seen you lurking 'round...
Joe Handley Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Looks good, and pretty close to the red Dodge offered them in too!
Foxer Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Very clean looking build! Did you paint the window trim? It looks sharp as a tack. I just love these cars. They just make me think ... who would have thought back in the '60's that Detroit would build a chopped station wagon!
MrObsessive Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Very nice and clean build! I built one of these too a couple years back and found it to be one of Revell's finest! Too bad Chrysler couldn't see fit to keep making the 1:1, and come out with yet another boring SUV. I still see quite a few of them on the roads so they can be had for a reasonable price nowadays............including the Hemi cars.
charlie8575 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 My ideal modern car is a Magnum R/T with no sunroof and all-wheel-drive. I thought they were very cool when they came out, and was hoping they'd continue to make them. Perhaps a return will come someday. Nice build-up, Rick. Charlie Larkin
Rick Schmidt Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 thanks for the compliments guys I really appreciate them Mike I did paint the trim Did it as per pics and a 1/1 I got to look over at work a few days ago. Only the trim along the bottom of the glass and the B pillars were black on both sources. I did break away from the Pics of the SRT and follow the non SRT one at work by doing the mirrors and the spoiler above the rear glass in black.
TheCat Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Really nice build. One of my favorite colors on a car.
Joe Handley Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Very clean looking build! Did you paint the window trim? It looks sharp as a tack. I just love these cars. They just make me think ... who would have thought back in the '60's that Detroit would build a chopped station wagon! Not only that, but make a serious Musclecar out of it too My ideal modern car is a Magnum R/T with no sunroof and all-wheel-drive. I thought they were very cool when they came out, and was hoping they'd continue to make them. Perhaps a return will come someday. Nice build-up, Rick. Charlie Larkin I like you're thinking Charlie, make mine identical and Ace of Spades Black

Sadly people were more interested in those utterly pointless Crossovers instead of cars like the Magnum, Real SUV's that can go off road, or Minivans.................
Mopar - D Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Nice detail and color. I built mine with Brilliant Black to match my 1:1 as a 4 year owner I can tell you that it is one fine car.
