Dr. Cranky Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 What a beautiful, well-executed model. Love it!
SuperStockAndy Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 This is awesome. The slicks, the trunk, EVERYTHING!!
voljeepx Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Mere words cannot describe how cool this car is! I especially like the truck grille on it, looks great! Awesome!
Sixties Sam Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 A spotless build, just beautiful! Nothing like a classic Deuce rod. the grille is a nice touch that sets it apart from so many others. Great work! Sam
kerc Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Amazing work. Perfect stance, and of course, killer color!
lizzard Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Go man go !!! That is pretty wicked !! Nice job.
Bernard Kron Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Immaculate contemporary "neo-traditional" build full of finely executed details. Love the stance in the rear 3/4 view. The AllClad is a nice touch, it makes a lot of the small bits realy pop and adds texture in all the right places. And the door hinges deserve a special mention since they are almost unoticeable, which is the way they should be! Massive thumbzupz!!!
parki Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Thats a cool looking rod. I love the engine choice and colour is spot on! as is the rake. do you have any progress pics? and interior shots?
Mike Kucaba Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 What all the others have said. Exquisite build. A tutorial on the hinges would be great!!
walt francis Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 You gave that the life of a "True HotRod" OUTSTANDING JOB !!!!!!
James2 Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 Here is a link to the WIP pix. And the front wheels & tires are from an AMT 34, the rear wheels are from a Grant King Sprint Car. I think the slicks are from the AMT Double Dragster. Thanks Again, J2. My link
parki Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Thanks for link I realised i'd comented on this build on another forum. Your homepage is added to my favorites list now. you have some great builds.
Danno Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Oh, that's a beauty! Many nice touchs, like the Goodguys sticker (and its placement - great!). Purely a very nice looking rod. Great job!
Duntov Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 James2: I really like what you have done here. The execution is perfect. This looks like it will actually drive and run and has some really cool elements of hot rod "style" included. Thanks for buildig this and posting it here....great job!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
Peter Lombardo Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Pretty "darn" (not the word I want here)slick! I like the simplicity of it...meaning that it doesn't have stuff going on all over the place....just a great stance, slick color and a serious power plant. Nice "core" Hot Rod...the feel of a rat rod only finished very well.
