Harry P. Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 How about this one? Real or model? Don't post any hints or answers here... the answer: REAL!
publicsafety Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Looks like a model, but I think its a trick.... REAL.
sjordan2 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) An out-of-focus background almost always makes a car look like a model. Based on certain details (though the wood grain on the flatbed looks very model-like), I'll guess real. Edited January 17, 2011 by sjordan2
gbdolfans Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 At first glance,I was going to vote model.because with the amount of light hitting the car,the background should be more in focus(I think). After looking at it again, and knowing how much delight Harry gets in fooling us,I think he blurred out the background and it is REAL. Therefore,I voted REAL. (Harry, you probably got me good!!)

highway Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 A trick??? Moi????!!! Yeah vous (I think that's right)!
Jon Cole Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 My guess is that is real... but then again, I was wrong last time.
Harry P. Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 I voted "real" based on a few things already noted, but I do think it's almost impossible to really know real from model when you get past the photoshop tipping point where more than half the image isn't really part of the source photo. I'll grant it to Harry that it makes it harder, but I also think there has to be at least some integrity to the photo or the exercise goes from 'real or model' to 'spot the photoshop tweaks' pretty quickly. Listen Mr. Grumpy pants... I didn't do anything to this photo... it's exactly as I found it. Did somebody do some Photoshopping? Obviously. The background has been blurred. But as far as I can see the truck itself hasn't been touched.
cherokeered Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) definitely a model! Edited January 19, 2011 by cherokeered
horsepower Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 gotta say model again, the windshield jus' don't look right (or left either).
Ryan S. Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I'm going to have to go with real on it. Something about the reflections in the hood...we'll see tomorrow.
Harry P. Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 Final vote: 22 REAL, 36 MODEL. Which means... I gotcha! It's REAL!
