Oh yeah.....Looking sharp, I can envision a smooth body with paint and incredible detail, can't u?? Keep it up.

Really good stuff Greg , that body is really starting to shape up (no pun intended) keep up the good work cant wait to see your next update.

Thank you all so very much for your encouragement and enthusiasm guys. B)

Huge thanks to Dave once more...he saved my skin again with some excellent reference and a couple of very kool parts. (pics later...)

For now, just a couple of teaser "mocked up" shots. Both front and rear in primer, rear half mounted to the chassis, motor mounted......

I have re-done my body mounts (holes in the lower sill area to be plugged) and it now has hidden attachment points (small bolts) beneath the chassis/body.

The blower manifold has been tweaked, and as a result, the blower now sits 5mm lower. The motor is an "in progress" of being lowered several more mm's too.....

With the blower/scoop sitting on top, I could easily see I got carried away when designing the manifold etc.....easy fixes thank goodness.

I have a day off work tomorrow, so chances are I can get some more done.

Stay tuned for updates, and thank you all for tagging along guys.

cheers

greg, looking awesome! this car has traveled a very long distance from a stock camaro body. your refinements are absolutely headed in the right direction. keep up the great work!!!!

Greg.... WOW!! I am speechless. This is.looking great in primer. And the detail to the chassis and engine just looks awesome. It sure is coming together and looking nice!

Thanks so much Dave, Randy, Richard, Tyrone, Santiago and Chris. :)

Man, it's amazing how much fat you can trim off things when you need to.

I think (?) the motor is now some 4mm lower in the chassis than it was. NEW front motor mount (plate) and all.....New thinner sump.......(almost complete)

Still need to re-align the Lenco and can, but there should be no real dramas there....

Been re-working my carbon 3-hole scoop too...apparently Tamiya 2-part putty has a shelf life.

This stuff I had on hand was easy....a couple of years old. Sets up in 12 hours.......yeah, right. Mine has been curing for a week, and was still tacky.

Haven't handled it for several days, so I hope it's gone off by now.....

Just waiting on several items from Rob @ RBMotion, fuel and oil line fittings, then things will start to hot up.

So close to ordering (Edit), ORDERED a new 1/12 Mustang.......like I need another excuse to buy more kits. (late model ProMod 'Stang...................OH YEAH ! )

Hay Greg, no excuse to buy another kit. ( It's with we do. lol ) But as far as the Camaro gos, it's look great, and the work your doing on the engine is some of the best.Keep it coming.

The Camaro is looking great, a 1/12th Mustang would be a nice companion car for the Camaro (as long as it's BEHIND the Camaro :D ), too bad it's not a '69 'Stang.

Greg, I can not believe how good you are with scratchbuilding, and im sure you have heard it all so for me to come up with new words to say what an awesome build this is and what an artist you are, i have a question for you if you dont mind, do you do all your scratchbuilding, and buidling not using a lathe or mill? being just all scratchbuilt with regular modeling tools?

anyway keep it up with building like this i can just imagine what you could do with a real car..............

 Yes, you are correct Derrick, why should we need an excuse. It's ordered. :D Thanks mate.

Thanks Richard. :) Yeah....don't think I really want to travel this road (promod) again for a while.....

The 2010 'Stang would make a pretty kool tow car though..... ;) and yes, a 69 would be the ultimate 'Stang for a 1/12 kit IMHO.

Thanks so much for your very kind words Darren. :)

Mate, yes..everything I have made so far are with just regular modelling tools. Always wanted a lathe and mill, but never got around to it.

The only "machined" parts are those supplied by Dave, his exquisite wheels he machined up (masters for me to make copies of) and the aluminium pulleys.

And believe it or not, I'm not that good at 1:1 scale.

wow then truly an artist indeed what great building skills that I hope to emulate some day, I can not wait to see this one done and is your datsun done yet, the 1/12th scale datsun that you were building on a while back? One of the reasons that I had asked about the lathe is that some of your plastic looks milled and machined so that means you have great skills.

The Datsun has been on the back burner for a while....I was feeling early stages of Nissan burn out......(working on 3 of them   )

But I hope to get back to it before too long...

 Hey, thank you too Rom. :)

Yeah....paint ideas have been running riot thru my head lately......still have no real plan yet, probably a plain Jane scheme knowing me.......

Hey guys, not a huge update I'm sorry :( , had a few family issues dragging me down lately, so bench time has shrivelled.....

What did get me excited yesterday tho, my very welcome package arrived from Tim @ TDR Innovations, courtesy of Shapeways. :D

Already given Tim a HUGE pat on the back for his effort, thanks again Tim.

But a brief (no pic) update for you'll......

I've been tweaking the 3-hole injector hat, yes...that dreaded putty has almost cured. Crikey, how long has that been.....?

Messing with some fuel and oil lines as well, now that I have my full selection of AN fittings from Rob. Plumbing the fuel and oil pumps. ;)

And still looking at getting the motor snuggled down another couple of mm's.....see how I go with that.

Ok, who wants pics....??

Apologies in advance for crappy (blurred) pics, I was so excited, I couldn't focus.

First up, this IS NOT the final resting place for this, it is just to showcase it.

Under side, all very uniform in construction.....= Very nice indeed.....

Back.....

DSCF7799-vi.jpg

Wheel tubs. Also got two smaller 1/16 sets.

DSCF7803-vi.jpg

And a Nitrous kit, to go with the "scooped project" at a later date. ;)

DSCF7800-vi.jpg

I've got to hit the shops tomorrow for some primer, so I will get better pics once they are under coated.

Stay tuned guys, things are about to get hectic, I hope......

Thanks for looking

Greg
