Chuck Most Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Loosely based on a car I've seen out and about in my neck of the woods. Revell Black Widow/150 kit, with a scratchbuilt flatbed and cab wall, a 454 big block, and a general rusty and crusty demeanor.
Sixties Sam Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Now that's different....and really cool! Nice work! Sam
RodneyBad Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Great looking VW Truck I mean Chevy truck. Has some good life still in it. Bed and tool boxes look good on it. Nice work on an old beater
Draggon Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 This is the first Black Widow I can say I really like. Well done Chuck!
retrobuilder Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 very cool!!! I remember a '53 ford sedan set up like this when i was a kid. I like the 454 transplant too. I also remember a '51 chevy pickup with a 454 that looked like hell all beat up and primer painted. that thing was fast as hell, though. He had a camaro rear end in it too.
David G. Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Excellent weathering and paint. The missing trim pieces really kick it over the top. David G.
Dr. Cranky Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Count Chokula, this one is quickly rising to the top of my favorites list of your builds. The color, the weathering, the details, everything came together nice and sweet, buddy. Keep taking your Cranky Vitamins and keep 'em coming!
shatteredsoul76 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Very nice and different, looks like something that could be driving around the back roads down here in TN.
f150 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Wow now I want build something similar to that I agree seems like I would see something like that driving the streets of TN
CorvairJim Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Very cool build, Chuck! You need to bring this one over to Motortopia and show it off there too.
Eric C Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 That's awesome... Who would have known that a '57 Chevy would have made such a cool flatbed truck? Very creative.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Chuckster my friend, only you could come up with somethin like this. Love the VW flaps. lol
Casey Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 C'mon Chuck, we all know Keystone Klassics start rusting the minute they're mounted to the vehicle- that chrome is far too shiny!
zelkam Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 I love the treatment. you wonder why GM did not build. I like
