John: Incredible build as always! I would like to say your work is inspiring, but what it really does is make me wonder why I build models at all. All kidding aside, you have an amazing knack for portraying realism in scale. I would like to know what you used for the clear tubing from the kool box and also the tubing used on the fuel overflow, and where you purchased them from. Thanks

Jim.......the smaller clear tubing is from the 99 cent store.......it comes in a pack of 4 rolls of wire black, white, red and clear......it had wire in the middle but,I pulled it out.......the bigger clear tubing is from the electronic store it is clear shrink tubing.......thank`s.

Very inspiring work here.

You have got to be the cleanest builder I've ever seen.

Looks like real aluminum in the trunk. Like the back plate maybe?

Hello.......I have been getting alot of nice comments.......and I really do appreciate them........ but, I need to say..........I am a Huge Huge fan of Mr. Clay Kemp......he is a big inspiration to me......I have studied some of his builds and used some of his techniques on this build.......I changed alot of things to my own style..........so what I am trying to say is that ......If anything is wrong it is not from Clay Kemp......it is my own fault......I did not want to copy exactly from his reference.......so that is why I changed things around......anyway this is my first Nascar and I have learned alot......I think I like the older style ones better.......but,I wanted to combine a old and new Nascar as one......just to be different.....I should have this done by tomorrow.......thank`s for following this build.

Homer......DSCF9111.jpg

this is the tape I use when I mask my paint job`s.......it is computer board tape......it curves good and is not to sticky and sticks just right......I have tried different types of tape and this works the best for me.....I paint with urethane,lacquer,acrylic,enamel.......and this tape works well with all......I like to put mist coats till I get a good cover of paint......Then I will pull the tape off right away......I dont like to let the tape and paint dry together.......if the paint is flaking when you pull off the tape......you may have left the tape on to long......hope I helped.......thank`s

so we're changing tips here, LOL, thank you for this one
