george 53 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I voted model. Looks like there's no weight on the tars!
mikemodeler Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 voted model, a couple of things just don't add up for me.
trogdor Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Model, ........... too easy Harry, I'm disappointed in you
SuperStockAndy Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Real. Harry thought we'd say model! Also, it looks like the inside of the body is painted white, which I believe fiberglass would usually be left white there?
warra48 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I'll vote model. My first thought was there's not enough weight on the tyres.
Jim Gibbons Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 The badging on the coves appears to be tampo printed; no 3D effect.
pepperdrumstix Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I am presently working on an MPC 1/16th '57 Corvette I have painted in these same colors, and it looks like this. I had it at the last Desert Scale Classic show in Phx last April in the WIP section. I used the tires from an AMT 1/16th '57 kit with acrylic painted white walls. My chrome being older and loose in the box when I got the kit is not as nice as on this car but the parts I have look like those on this car. My guess is a well built MPC 1/16th model. Patrick M
Romell R Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) Im gonna have to say Model as theres no weight on the tires. Had to edit this one: after a second look i believe its real not gonna say why though. Edited June 20, 2011 by Aftashox
Jon Cole Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Model. Besides the 'no weight' issue on the tires, I also feel the curve-in on the front of the cove is too extreme.
Sixties Sam Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I'm voting model. The surface it sits on looks too smooth for pavement. Looks like gray painted plywood.
W-409 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Real. If that is a model, I'm really suprised. Who in earth could build that nice model? Everything looks like real, chrome parts and paint... All of those little badges and other little body details make it look like real. And if I see correctly there is some weight on the front tire. Don't know, it can be model too, but I vote real, because it looks like it. Tires are looking very realistic too, it can't be model... Don't know, let's have a see what it really is.
Guest Johnny Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Been a bit so I'll stick my neck out and say MODEL!
gbdolfans Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I went with real on this one.I had a '62. I am probably wrong!!! Oh well!!!
BKcustoms Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 I think its real, but i'm probably wrong (as usual )
kyledr330 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 I'm saying model, but man is that a nice picture!
