Hi everybody,

today i would like to show you another part of my collection. It is based on the Hasegawa Kit and on this built i tested weathering with salt before making the paintjob.

The diorama is called "Horst - no dumping garbage" - whats the story behind?

You see all the stuff on the load area? Horst (the Bullies Name) removed the fence with bolt cutters, sawed the sign with the chainsaw to - all to unlaod the debris.

The Bolt cutter and chainsaw is scratchbuilt, also the bottle and heat on the frontseat. Have fun with the pictures

Horst knows a good chainsaw when he sees it  Nice diorama and excellent job with that chainsaw. I'd love to see a close up shot of just that if possible

Welcome to the Model Cars Magazine forum! I love the diorama, and not just because there is a Volkswagen in it. Wonderful work with great details.

This has a wonderful overall unity in the weathering ... making it look just right! The bed has been really well used considering the side sills look in fairly good shape.

I've wanted to do one of these for awhile . Sadly, Hasagawa kits aren't available through the lone hobby shop we still enjoy here and I don't like On- line stores . Great diorama work too !!!!!! Ed Shaver

What could be better than a type 2 pickup? One that's been weathered, loaded down with cool accessories, and set in a cool diorama background! very nice indeed.

That chainsaw looks amazing! Very nicely built, and how small it really is! B) Car looks good too, I like the weathering you've done for it, and that all stuff on its bed is looking good too.

Great build! I'd like to do something like this with a Corvair Rampside pickup if I could get my hands on a decent one. Too bad there was never a decent one made! Premier did a Rampside in about 1:30 scale back in the mid-60's, but it was one really rough puppy! Still, those kits are the "Holy Grail" of Corvair models.

(I thought that the chain saws looked pretty good without paint. With paint it "STIHL" looks good! )

Thanks guys!

@ Jim: never heared about a Corvair Rampside (?!?) I had build one Corvair, the 2 door coupe. I will post him sometime.
