crazyjim Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Here's my just finished '66 Olds 442. It's painted in HOK Scarlett Kandy over a gold base. I found a set of red line tires and some good looking Keystone wheels for it, otherwise it's out of the box. A very nice kit to work on.
Qwit Pushin Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Looks great! Great interior/exterior color combo. Extra points for the use of the redline tires.
george 53 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 My cousin had both a 66 and a 67. Those were some NICE cars! came out real nice,Jim!
Rob Z Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Nice job Jim... That color really looks great on there...
crazyjim Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 Thank you guys very much. The box showed the model with red lines but there weren't any in the box. I'm sure glad I had a set in the parts bin.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Another clean and beautiful model! Pure eye candy!
Diesel Gypsy Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) The lovely lines & proportion's of the `66 Olds make it a favorite of mine & in this colour it looks stunning. Wonderful job. Edited October 11, 2011 by Diesel Gypsy
MrObsessive Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Beautiful job Jim! GM's '66 midsizers were some of the best lookin' cars on the road back then! No mistaking them for something else unlike today!
John Teresi Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Jim ......Stunning build.....turned out AWESOME man.
nybuilder Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Nice build once again Jim. I love the colors on the interior.
jeffs396 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 (edited) Looks great Jim! SHINY Edited October 11, 2011 by jeffs396
fatkidd Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 jim, you are a building fool! i guess someone is "stocking up" for upcoming shows. haha as the others have stated, it looks really nice. i like the body color, the color difference/contrast between the frame & the body, really dig the interior. but can we have a slightly less blurry shot of the emgine, please? haha well done, sir
crazyjim Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I used the same everything for the engine shot and they always seem to come out blurry. I don't know why, Fatkidd. Not stocking up for shows, just doing my normal building.
mytricia Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 i have something to say-it's uh uh uh uh uh uh -it sure is."RIGHT ON".
crazyjim Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 Thanks Danno & Dominik. Like I said - a very nice kit tot work with.
Monty Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Very clean build, great interior / exterior color combo and nice detailing touches (carb linkage rocks!) I'd love to see what you could do with the Lindberg '67 442. Ever thought about it?
