Guest Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Another nice build. What is in the trans kit? How much is it?
plastiktruck Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Transkit the following covers suitably I have the still following figures
peter31a Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 You are using an old computer monitor as a diorama base kinda like a shadow box? That is so cool! Great work Heiko!
Erik Smith Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Cool model and really cool diorama set up! The fall guy truck is a classic - built one back in the day. Nice work.
Ben Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Wow, very nice job!!!!!!!!!!!! I have that transkit as well. I started building mine but as usual, I started to over detail everything and lost interest. LOL I like that shadowbox dio!
krazyglu Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 That is so cool looking. I have recently got into RC rock crawler's and this would make a really cool body for one. Did the front bumper and winch come on the transkit? You really did a great job on this....I love these old lifted trucks
plastikfreek Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Sehr nett...Sehr nett............The truck looks really great..You did a wonderful job..!!!
Dominik Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Hallo Heiko, schön, den GMC mal gebaut zu sehen! Sieht sehr gut aus und das Diorama gibt den besondern Kick dazu! Tolle Idee! Sorry Buddies it looks great, also the diorama is working perfect with it! Great idea.
outlaw035 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 very clean build...and the snow looks to real...the computer monitor is really cool as a set for ur pic...genius...
Monty Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Beautiful job on that conversion. What paints did you use on the body? That combination is sharp!
promo55 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Great job on the GMC, and diorama display! I love this series of GM trucks!.
Greg Pugh Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Nice job on this! I used to love watching that show.
Casey Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Another nice build. What is in the trans kit? How much is it? The trans kit is no longer available from Scale Productions, sadly. It was the only source for a nicely done '73-'86 style Fleetside bed.

Heiko did a GREAT job on this, but I'm not so sure we want that transkit on the market any longer...look at the bed, it's not quite right, no lengthening behind the wheel opening: http://www.modelcars...l=&fromsearch=1 Edited December 19, 2011 by jeffs396

plastiktruck Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 Thank you, nice that you like the model
philo426 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) THat rocks! I used to watch it and remember one episode where Lee Majors is driving the pick up in reverse at 55 mph.The funny thing is they had a shot of the speedometer working but everyone knows speedos don't work when the car is in reverse!
