The last 4 sound interesting. I wonder if the Lonestar is a diffrent tool from Mobius's?

On Boxing Day I bought one of the Mercedes DTM kits and was going to buy after market decals to do Bruno Spengler's car. Now they are coming out with a kit in his livery. Now I have a decision to make....

On the other hand those 2 Ferrari's 599's do sound interesting.

Mini Cooper 60s version? I am always game for another Mini, but Tamiya already has a great 60s Mini kit - any ideas how this will be different?

And THIS bad boy!

It will be 1/144. The real thing has a wing span of 141ft, so the model will be very close to 1ft span. Pretty cool.

Peter, I'll help you out. You keep the Spengler decals from the additional kit that you buy, and I'll take the inconvenient plastic pieces. LOL

Looks like some reissues and Revell US reboxes (Shelby and Camaro). Odd to not see a 458 Italia Spyder.

The Lone Star is a rebox of the Mobieus kit, I've read elsewhere..

Not familiar w/ the RoG 250 SWB...is that a reissue? IIRC, ESCI made one that AMT issued about 20 years ago, wasn't well regarded.

I wonder how the deal between Moebius and RoG came about. Just curious... :D

Difficult, I know that. And that in the beginning of the negotiations, Moebius didn't want to give any discount on the kits. Appearantly they worked out some deal, but it seems Revell didn't got too much of a discount, looking at the SRP

Rob, the 250 SWB looks to be the Italeri reissue according to ROG. That's a MUCH nicer kit than the hoary Esci one. A bit simplified, but builds up very nice when some time and research are done to it. ;)

Cool...that will be a must have for me then.

Didn't you made the Italeri SWB Bill?

Sure did! It's old now as I built it back during 1998-99. Mine had been "tweaked" a bit as I didn't use all the parts from Italeri. It has a mix of stuff from Replica's and MIniatures, Detail Master, and some of my own doing. ;)

Forget the ESCI one! It has more problems than a preacher! The body isn't quite right and the detail is dubious at best.

Good to see ROG intro some other more modern Ferraris as well! That 599 looks to be the one to get. Now if they can just see fit to reissue that BMW 850i................... ;)

Darn. I was disappointed to see that the Mercedes Gullwing set is just a combo package of the existing 50s SLR Uhlenhaut coupe and the current SLS AMG.

It's going to be the 1964 Mini Cooper, the Tamiya version in the Cooper S, looking at the photo I found of it at the German Toy fair, it's going to have the proper "Deluxe" wheel trims, I'm really looking forward to this one !!!

Drats! Now I am too. I did buy the ROG Citroen and I am quite impressed - right there with Tamiya quality!

I was at the car lot a few days ago looking at a Honda Fit. It is a small, five passenger car and the salesman was telling me how amazing the engineering was that they could build such a small car with seating for five. I thought "well, it's not that amazing. Mini Coopers had the same ability 50 years ago" - and in a smaller package.

Revell are doing some cracking stuff lately, the 2CV has actually got more detail in the kit than the Tamiya version, I'm 90% finished on the Tamiya 2CV, the AEC Routemaster bus is a stunning model, we can forgive them for re-releasing the ###### Japanese copy of the FX-4 taxi, but if they ever bring out the Morris Minor, which was a better seller than the Mini, and did actually make a profit for BMC, I would have to up my heart medication !!
