curt raitz Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 With selling a house and moving, I actually finished more models last year than I thought I had. It's gonna take a few pages, but here they be:
curt raitz Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 Page Four... That's it, thanx for lookin' I hope 2012 brings you much happiness at the model workbench
rmvw guy Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Very impressive! Can't wait to see what you do in the next year without the distractions. I would have trouble picking a favorite. Thanks for sharing.
Monty Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Curt, I'm impressed! Such a wide variety of subjects built with this level of attention to detail, and nicely photographed as well. 2011 was obviously a great year for you! Ignorant inquiry of the day: Tell me about the tires on the Marlboro Alpha Romeo. Are they some type of rain tire?
Eric C Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Awesome models. It's all really great but I love the F1 cars...
Dr. Cranky Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Great line up, buddy, you most certainly fed us lots of great eye candy in 2011. I hope you don't slow down in 2012. Keep up the inspiration!
Qwit Pushin Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Not only are you prolific, but quality wasn't sacrificed for the sake of quantity - Nice job on all!!

bbowser Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Simply amazing. Great job on all. I especially like the F1 Lotus, the Chevy big cab, and the yellow Stutz (I think).
Peter Lombardo Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Curt your builds never disappoint! Always super clean and smooth. I love that you did all of those F1 cars. I also have two of the Lotus 79's, one Tamiya and one Hasegawa. I have the aftermarket decals to do the two versions you did...I am looking forward to getting into those. I also really like that "not often built" Alfa..and your dad's pickup came out great too. Very nice and large collection....no one can "pidgin hole" you into one style of car, you cover them all.
peter31a Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Wow! Absolutely Wow! Curt that is an amazing collection of builds. The range is great too from classic hot rods to great F1 cars. Thanks for showing all of 2011's builds at once to show your diversity.

After a little digging, I found a review of the model you built http://www.mrof1engi...uk/?page_id=373 . The author notes that Protar equipped this one with "wet-weather rubber" and he seemed surprised that they went that route instead of just providing slicks like most race cars.
Austin T Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Whats the heat wrap on the bobber made of?Medical wrap?I'm making a rat rod outa a 29' fort "T" and don't want chrome pipes.
oldscool Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Great body of work curt. I love the drag cars. gus
turn1wonder Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Very nice eclectic collection. Is the big blue truck classified as a COE? Bob

Badluck 13 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Very, very impressive builds!!!!!,my favorites are the F1's especially the Tyrrell P34,always liked the F1 kits but for some reason they never liked me.
Bernard Kron Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 As always, so impressive, both from the technical aspect and because of the range and depth. Some builds were simple and executed largely to enjoy the subject matter and/or the kit, while others ran deep on the creativity and construction challenge side. It serves to remind me how liberating skill and confidence can be, particularly if one enjoys the hobby as much as you so obviously do. All the best in 2012! B.
Olds Rocket 88 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Nice... but what did you do with all your spare time last year...LOL
