Dr. Cranky Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Isn't that John's middle name? THE INSPIRATOR!
Romell R Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Hey Bryan nice job on the truck start but how about you just add a link to your thread to show John your build instead of all the pics, this could be considered Thread Highjacking.
Jantrix Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) Hey Bryan nice job on the truck start but how about you just add a link to your thread to show John your build instead of all the pics, this could be considered Thread Highjacking. Rommell has got a point, but in all seriousness, there isn't a chance of heck of anyone stealing the spotlight in this thread. Edited May 1, 2012 by Jantrix

John Teresi Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 Amazing stuff John. I thought i read this is for your dad. Has he seen it at all? James.......thanks,yes he gets the same progress photos.
MoparWoman Jamie Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Looking at the decals, the thing that kinda takes it all away for me is the faded black color around the flames that meets the gloss black of the model like on the hood part.. Then seeing it run down the side the same way just kinda takes the ideal of the rig looking real away for me. But rest of the build looks great so far though. John your doing good at scratch building this stuff man. Keep up the very very good scratch building!
Dr. Cranky Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 What an outstanding job! Every time you come up to bat, John, you are hitting grand slams. Wow. This one should win lots of awards every where you take it. Can't wait to see it finished.
Guest Darkside Customs Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 John this is looking really good as usual.... I'm drooling over here...

Jim......thank you for your observation about the faded black around the flames..........you beat me to the punch........I was going to mention that I tapped off the flames and airbrushed the faded black area around the flames with the same color as the truck in my next post........so that everything blends together.............I do this method when I have custom decals.........I have a 1/8 inch black border around every decal that goes over the black body........so that I can do this method.......thanks. Brendan30 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I was going to ask the same question about the decals John, but I figured you had a trick up your sleeve looking forward to seeing how these blend in.
GoatGuy Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Looking great John. The vinyl Geico Motorcycle came out real nice, as did Art's decals. I appreciate the kind words. Dave
