TheCat Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Here's my fourth Built for 2012. Finally finished it.
Wagoneer81 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Very nice, subtle build! I'm really becoming a fan of the pre-Stingray 'Vettes... And you gotta love that mechanical fuel injection... You don't see many of those in builds anymore...
rmvw guy Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 It looks good in gold, a color not often seen. I'm also a fan of early Vettes. Just wondering, what kind of paint did you use on it?
MrObsessive Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Actually, I believe that's Aztec Copper for '57. One of my favorite colors for that era 'Vette! Looks really good!
skmodelcars Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Very clean build with a classic color scheme!
TheCat Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Thank you all for the great comments. And Chris... Bill is correct... It is Aztec Copper. I used the closest paint to Aztec Copper... Testor's Copper Metallic #1251. I think it came out pretty close.
Harry P. Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I also love the color. One small "but"... you really should have sanded the steering wheel rim to get rid of the flash.
jeff ewaskey Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Wow Felix, that is a truly beautiful Corvette. Well done.
Danno Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Nice. Only one other suggestion: A bit of wash on the hubcaps would make them really pop.
Qwit Pushin Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Great job!! I love the color selection, especially the interior color.
jaymcminn Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Great color, and nice detail. I like your background, too!
mcandela Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Model looks like its right in the 50's showroom in those pics. Beautiful model.
Sixties Sam Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Very nice! I like the colors and the engine detail. I like the older Vettes with the white side panel and whitewall tires. Nice work! Sam
