Jantrix Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 YEAH MAN! That's what I'm talking about. That looks great.
Bartster Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Oh my! Excellent color combo & nice layout. Sweet & Low!
Joker Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Crisp clean tape work Andy. Great color choice too.
zaina Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 not much of an update but i did get the seats done and interior flocked. what do you guys think about the white bed cover?
RobRus Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Looking good, and I love the color combo. I think the white bed cover is a bit much, at least in the picture it kind of takes over the nice custom work you have done. But that is only my opinion based off of one photo. Maybe if you put some white faded lacing or something to bring that whilte into the rest of the vehicle? It is coming along very nicely though.
Guest JamesDE Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I'm not diggin the cover... Paint looks nice!
Bartster Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Love this one. l'd throw some color on the cover to tie it in better. White just looks unfinished to me? Maybe a cool temporary tattoo?
Modlbldr Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 (edited) I'd go with the gold with silver border on the cover with a purple stripe down the center. Sort of the opposite that you have on the body. Now that I looked at it again, just like you have on the roof. Looking great though. Keep it up. Later- Edited April 22, 2012 by Modlbldr
zaina Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 got it cleared today. needs to be wet sanded and then recleared to get rid of some dord nibs and smooth out the tape lines
Tony T Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Nice shine! I'd use some colour on the bed cover, maybe the same tan/beige as the seats?
TooOld Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I like what you're doing here . Pretty sharp ! I was at my LHS today and they had two sets of those rims . One chrome and one gold . Now that I see them on a build I might go back and grab them .
cobraman Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Paint job is killer. The white bed cover adds nothing to the look of your fine paint work in my opinion. It is a distraction I think.
zaina Posted May 7, 2012 Author Posted May 7, 2012 Thanks for the comments guys. Been working on other projects so nothing new. I lowered it but doing a spring under. Pretty easy to lower. Hopefully i will get back to this one soon
FASTBACK340 Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Beautiful paint work! Sharp build, but I agree that the bed cover might look good in a different color. Maybe paint it the same color as the interior?
Hedgehog Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 not much of an update but i did get the seats done and interior flocked. what do you guys think about the white bed cover? Great job! Fantastic paint done in and out. I'll keep an eye on this creation. Let us know how you did the cheetah look on those seats...
zaina Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 Thanks guys. The seats were really easy. Just picked up a leopard print decal sheet from scale motorsports and used some micro sol and micro set with a blow dryer to lay down evenly. Then bordered it with sewing thread glued down with Elmer's glue
