Edsel-Dan Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Sorry for my Goof before How are these for Obsure?? Or at least ODD!! Hino S'Elega Super High Decker 1/32; and 3 different Isuzu BXD-30 Bonnet's; Sadly, this one was sold with a Chopped top! I have tried to restore it, but a couple posts are missing I am looking for a replacement body And before anyone says it is available in resin. Look at the Door location on the kit, and on the resin!! Yes, the resin is based on this, but door moved to Right side!!!
Daddyfink Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) Those buses are crazy, but the box art, those are totally weird! So allow me to add to the weirdness! A little Flea Market scene, it comes with everything pictured, including the little cartoon vendor! This little cart is in 1/25th! Too bad it does not come with the figure! But it does have a display base that includes the fence and trees! Edited December 28, 2013 by Daddyfink

Edsel-Dan Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Thought I posted this! Don Loomis offered a Conversion body Based on those Isuzu BXD's His was converted to American OLDIE and advised you to combine it with one of the Older Pickup kits. ie 40 Ford, 41 Chevy, 50 Chevy or Ford. I believe they are also occasionally seen on evilbay , and sometimes with a cowl/hood piece I think a 40 or 41 Ford. I have not seen one in a while.
ChrisBcritter Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Only problem is the base for the body is 1/32, not 1/25, plus if you look at old American school buses, it still has a ways to go to be correct.
Funkster Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Casey; I have the Chrysler boat, as my dad worked at Chrysler Marine in Hartford, WI. They had a big show at the local Chrysler Plymouth and Dodge dealer(harden Motors). I would say the year was 1969, they had the whole line of boats on display and outboard and inboard motors on display.Chrysler gave all the kids of the familys MPC Chrysler boats and engines, still have that boat and trailer to this day.
Casey Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Ideal made a Lincoln Continental Mark II?

Daddyfink Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I hated the thought of this thread going away, so, here is another oddity for the books!
unclescott58 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) OK I'm only up to page 5 of this thread and need to comment on few things before I forget them. First, I want a Chrysler speed boat! How cool is that!? Second, every time I see the MPC RCMP Chevy I wish I had seen that one back in the day! Another one I need for my collection. I have a '73 MPC Caprice. But, not the RCMP version. Again, how cool was that? And I wonder if Round 2 still has the molds to old MPC Ski-Doo snowmobiles? I don't know if it would be a big seller with anyone else, worth dusting the molds off. But, I'd buy one. Scott Aho Edited May 9, 2014 by unclescott58
unclescott58 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Id bite on them. What would you bite on? Which posting are you referring too? Scott Aho

Scott Aho Maybe if they sold them like the Fonz motorcycle - but with a figure of Stompin' Tom Connors instead? (I'll let you Canadian modelers explain that one!)
