Dragracer Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Everything is looking good John, the tin work looks great, & the body is also lookin' good, glad to see it on the chassis even in just a mock-up!
John Teresi Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Can't wait to see this in paint. I am going to be working on a funny car project and I will need to make interior tin also. How do you get the right amount of curve in the tins so that it nestles properly against the inside of the body? BTW, I think my favorite detail on this so far is the little spark plug wire holddown on top of the valve cover! Chris Chris......I use thin cardboard for a templet......measure and cut......it takes a few cuts to get right.......thanks.
kitswapper Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I have a question, why the extensions on the bottom of the body, They are not on the real car.
Mooneyzs Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 John... wow I have sure miss alot on this.build. You continue to out do yourself on each build. your work is just killer Bud. Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to yoir next update.
cartpix Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Another fantastic build. What did you use for the clear lines coming from the valve cover breathers? They look like they have had oil vapors through them. Jeff

Jeff Jeff.......I buy a pack of wire from the dollar store......it comes with 5 rolls of wire: green, red, blue, black and clear.......I removed the wire from the clear roll...... and with a toothpick I put some Tamiya clear yellow into one end of the clear roll and let it run down the roll.......it gives a yellow tint......thanks

James2 Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Another aaamaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzing build. Your attention to detail, eye for scale and subtle weathering continue to inspire many.
Dragracer Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 The tin work came out excellent John, the bodywork & paint/decals is also awesome looking. a masterpiece for sure!
Joker Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 The chassis plumbing work made my brain hurt. Thank goodness it has a flip up body. I'm just ....floored ..flabergasted..in awe..
Wayne Buck Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Another aaamaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzing build. Your attention to detail, eye for scale and subtle weathering continue to inspire many. SERIOUSLY, John!!! Man, you do some absolutely STUNNING work! I know this might sound a bit funny, but, I LOVE the way the slicks look on your drag cars! They look 100% real every time. I've never really painted tires until I saw some of your stuff. I'm nowhere near yours, but my tires are always looking so much better with each new try. It's amazing what even just some dull-cote lacquer out of a can does for them. Thank you for sharing all of your awesome builds and being a true "role model" for me! This Camaro looks INCREDIBLE!!! Thanks again for sharing!
Kmidd65 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 John, you always amaze me with your builds! This one is looking Killer. As usual, thanks for the inprocess pics and write ups. I always enjoy following along! Incredible work on this one!
