martinfan5 Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Here is Revells F430 kit, OOB, I did not use the kit tires, I used tires from a Fujimi kit, the paint was going to be from Scale Finishes, but had problems when doing the clear coat, and ended having to use Model Master Italian red. There are a lot flaws, had problems when finishing it up, but that is par for the course for me when I build Ferrari kits. This is not what I would say I am proud of, almost embarrassed posting pics of it.
glenn Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 You obviously know of the flaws but it photographs nicely,it looks really clean and well built
Dr. Cranky Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 That is one beautiful and shiny model. A keeper that's for sure.
Foxer Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 The nice thing about flaws in your mind is that we can't see them there. Most here don't judge .. just enjoy the candy! That paint looks spectacular!
Bill Eh? Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 A beautiful Ferrari. We are our own worst critics. What I see in this post is pure joy! Great model building Jonathan!
crazyjim Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Ferrari's have to be red and they have to be SHINY :) . Bingo - you got it.
martinfan5 Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Thanks for the kind words guys, I have been in a modeling rut the last few weeks or so, its making the little things get to me, like this Ferrari kit.
Geordi08 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Really nice job on the model. I have struggled with the Revel model a couple of times, that said this really looks nice a crisp and the shine on the body is really good.
martinfan5 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 Thanks Chris, Ferrari kits are a very sore subject with me, I guess I tend to take the problems I have with them a little more to heart then I should
