zenrat Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 g'day folks. I built this for the special theme class at the Ballarat NNL which was last weekend. The theme was Black & White. I thought of Black & White Television for some reason. Maybe I just watch too much? Anyway, I combined both the Street machine & stock '60 Pick Up kits with some scratchbuilding and some stuff from my parts box. Camera is from an AMT Parts Pack - i've never seen anyone else use it before but it was an almost perfect match for those in period photos In keeping with Black & White it has no colour on it - only black, white, grey and metalisers.
sports850 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Great work there Fred , so how did you go in the NNL ?
JunkPile Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 That is just toooo cooool! Nice, clean build. Another perfect example of "less is more"
zenrat Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Great work there Fred , so how did you go in the NNL ? Acceptably.
Helix Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Hey Fred, long time no hear! Good job as always mate Regards, Helix (a.k.a Ray64 TPB)
rmvw guy Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Fantastic job, you nailed it on the theme! The camera is super neat! All the graphics are cool too, I love it.
62rebel Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 very nice and very interesting build! looks real enough.... is it a representation of any specific truck, or just your imagination bearing fruit?
zenrat Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 Thanks folks. Curt - it was inspired by photos of real Australian TV trucks I found on the interweb but maybe a bit more specialised as they tended to use planks on a roof rack as the top platform! I think in reality you'd want a bit more suspension travel when travesing 1962 era outback roads in search of a story.
Casey Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Camera is from an AMT Parts Pack - i've never seen anyone else use it before but it was an almost perfect match for those in period photos Yes, it is a perfect match and everything looks great, Fred.
