foxbat426 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Love it, beautiful engine work!! I love stock cars and this one is exceptional - congrats!
Harold Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Nice work. Did you cut out the trunk and hinge it, or did the kit come that way?
Drgon63 Posted June 16, 2012 Author Posted June 16, 2012 (edited) Nice work. Did you cut out the trunk and hinge it, or did the kit come that way? Cut opened the trunk hinged it and made the edging ledge around the perimeter... Edited June 16, 2012 by Drgon63
H.A.K Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 My 1st car was a 65 impala, In black. This is a very nice lookin impala. Great job man.
Tonioseven Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I love it!! That trunk mat and spare tire setup really brings it to life!!!
CorvairJim Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 1965 was a great year for Chevy. My first car was a '65 Chevy II, my first Corvair was a '65 Monza (Dark Green/Fawn!), and your model shows that the big guys were pretty doggone sharp too!
58 Impala Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Very nice job. I used to have a 65 Canary yellow convertible w/black top. I have both Revell kits, hardtop and convertible.
TooOld Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Looks great ! Don't see too many 65's being built . The trunk is a real eye catcher and the engine detail is great ( no floating alternator ! ) . Really sharp build .
62rebel Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 that's very convincing; excellent build. you manage to do with your detailing what some seem to miss; make it look "real", not just "added on". if i could pick at ANYTHING it would be Revell's thin chrome plating, as it seems that during handling of your engine you've worn away the plating on the oil filler cap on the RH valve cover. it could be the lighting making it look that way, though. i like the way you work!
bbowser Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Really nice. The underhood and trunk detailing really set it apart. Great job!
charlie8575 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Nice job and great color combination. Charlie Larkin

Nice job and great color combination. Charlie Larkin Stock 1965 Chevy green met with fawn interior .... on the big cars always loved that combo....
cortinanut Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Nice, nice, nice! A great replica stock build with added detail is my favorite kind of model, and this hits it right on the head.
deathskull59 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 well at least this one isint a low rider.
