Pat Minarick Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) What can I put on here to really stand out? It had one blower ,how about two? Edited May 15, 2013 by Road Runner 79
blunc Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 if you build a hood hinge assembly that slides forward on rails then tilts like a reverse hinged hood you could put an over-the-top induction system on top of that motor.

Thanks for the Ideal, thought of that . But i think the wheel wells will be in the way.I might just mold the hood back in and open it up a little more.
Custom Hearse Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Nice work. I've always thought the Monkeemobile always looked too long and over the top. You've done an excellent job making it look good.

Custom Hearse Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Thanks Marshall! I'm just hope not to screw up the hood i'm working on! You're welcome. Just relax and enjoy building... it seems to help cut down on mistakes.
Pat Minarick Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) This is what I'm trying out for the hood.I built it up with plastic and epoxy first. There will be something sticking out the hood so the scoop will be gone. Edited May 15, 2013 by Road Runner 79
Bartster Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Dude! Still lookin' So sweet. Love the hood treatment. Please keep it going. Bart.

Pat Minarick Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Well her is the new hood ,more body work to do but I like it much better. There will be hardly any putty in this one. Edited May 15, 2013 by Road Runner 79
Pat Minarick Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 Ok! That works well too! I had to change it ,It looked like a bird beak.
Greg Pugh Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Some amazing work being done here! I'm watching from here on out.
cobraman Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I liked the first hood but the second is better looking I think.
blunc Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I guess he didn't want to rename it "The Birdbeak-mobile"...
Dr. Cranky Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Loving every stage of this one, please keep it going.
Lunajammer Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) Yes, the front end is turning out quite nice, good job. But I sure have a hard time getting past the visual weight of that panel van roof. It steals the attention from your other careful details. Here's sample of how a window might look. Sure, it's a little cliche' and it wouldn't have to be a window but I feel like something needs to lighten that area. Edited August 7, 2012 by Lunajammer
Pat Minarick Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) Nice work ! Thanks you! Edited August 8, 2012 by Road Runner 79

Pat Minarick Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 I liked the first hood but the second is better looking I think. Thanks , I might still add a peak down the middle and maybe some kind of shaker scoop.
