mrmike Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 This is my '71 Duster 340+6 finished as a hardtop with Tamiya TS-31 Bright Orange with a black and gunmetal interior.
oldscool Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 That looks great! I really like the deep dish wheels but don't care for the wing on these bodies.
Pat Minarick Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Very nice! I like the gunmetal with the orange.
Pat Minarick Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 That looks great! I really like the deep dish wheels but don't care for the wing on these bodies. The bolt on Direct Connection spoiler is the only sportback a-body spoiler I ever liked .
Bartster Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Very sweet. From the subtle mods to the choice of colors & paint scheme. Excellent build throughout! l have 2 in my stash that l won't start for quite some time, but this is GREAT inspiration for when l do. The body colored rear spoiler makes a BIG difference! Bart.
hemi Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Very nice.I watched this one being built in on the bench you did a killer job on it,and gave me an ideal for one of mine.
Harry P. Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Very cool Duster! I love everything about it... wheels, colors, everything! Wish I had a 1:1 just like this!
Sixties Sam Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Killer Mopar! Great colors and detailing! Looks mean! Sam
FASTBACK340 Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 I agree, very tasty combination of colors and parts selection. The Orange & Gun Metal compliment each other nicely, great wheel choice, and the 6Bbl. small block is such a street-friendly performance package. This would make a great 1:1 street machine! Take a bow Mike, you did a great job!
mrmike Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 Thank you my fellow modelers for the nice comments! I am really happy with how this Duster turned out and for a while I started to have my doubts. Instead of making rash decisions, I thought about how I wanted this model to look and took my time getting it there. The end result speaks for itself!
Models by Bear Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Awesome! I think Al Bundy would be very jeleous.
Funkster Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 As a Mopar guy I love it, I have that Duster also. Mine is B5 blue, with a flat black hood and black interior. Mine has the stock hood with the 340 Wedge decal no dual scoops.
Bad Brad #2 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I've never seen a Duster with roll down rear windows. Interesting.
mrmike Posted July 7, 2012 Author Posted July 7, 2012 Thanks guys! Jim, I think a Duster as a hardtop looks better than a Duster as a coupe. Why Chrysler didn't do this, I don't know.
