James2 Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 With a full belly pan. I built this last year but decided it needed a top. I added a light salt wash to the tires also. Really didn't want to go to far with the weathering. Just the appearance of a Hot Rod taken to Bonneville as a run about. Grumpa Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Awesome build James. I love the stance, low 'n lean! The "up-top" adds a lot of character to it. Love it!
Wayne Buck Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Wow, James... I LOVE IT!!!! Beautiful in EVERY way! Wouldn't change a thing.
Jantrix Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 That is just perfect. Very authentic and nice work on the top.
slusher Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Nice work James, not over done and very realistic. great stance. You always do excellent work....Slusher
James2 Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) Thank you very much. I'm glad you like it, here is the pan, made from styrene sheet. And paint with Alcad Whit Aluminium. And resin louver decals found in the model rail road section of my LHS. Edited July 6, 2012 by James2
oldscool Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 That rocks! A beautiful scale example of a traditional rod. How about a pic of the mill?

Dr. Cranky Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Excellent model. Love the colors and the classy look you achieve with just a few right touches. Congrats.
Guest Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 That is one cool little hot rod James! And you're right,it would be a shame to get salt all over that beauty! Where did you get the top?
James2 Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 Thank you kindly. I had to glue the hood to keep things aligned properly, so I guess it might be a curbside. The paint is Tamiya Drk Blue Metalic. And the top is a cut down AMT 36 Ford piece.
Intmd8r Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 I think that you should add some salt to give it a weathered look as if it just completed a run on the flats. Great build none the less.
Raul_Perez Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Very nice!! I relly like the color combination!! Later,
