volksrods Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) Hi all, This one was sitting on my bench for a long time. Finished it couple of weeks ago. I tried to convert AMT's Bel Air into a 210. Hope you like it. MehmetCan Edited July 10, 2012 by volksrods
rmvw guy Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Yes I like it, you got it right! I've done two of these so far and its not so easy getting the trim right but, you nailed it. I like your color combo also. It looks like it just came fresh out of the paint shop. Nice work!
W-409 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Cool build! Great subject and you sure did good job. I like the paint job, and actually Pink fits pretty well on that body, even if I don't usually like it. Very clean and nice build, I like the look with Steel Wheels.
Dr. Cranky Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I like it, and love the Ford as well. Keep 'em coming.
jeffs396 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) Well done!!! One of my all-time favorites, a '55 Chevy 2-door sedan Oh, and WELCOME!!! Edited July 10, 2012 by jeffs396
blubaja Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 That color combo works great for me on the plain black steelies. Great job!.
Qwit Pushin Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Nicely done!! I tried this conversion awhile back, replicating a car I used to own.
volksrods Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Thanks all for kind comments. Jeff thanks for warm welcome. Mike color combo of your 210 looks great !
David G. Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Those are some nice builds. The pink and white looks like it could be the "before" version of the one I built that's pictured below in my signature. David G.
aud6875 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Very Nice I have a 1:1 210 . Where did you get the kit for that car.
crazyjim Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 How did I miss such nice, clean, SHINY :) build? Very well done. Did you paint the Chevy emblem or decals? They look good.
charlie8575 Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Nice job on the side trim, and on the rest of it. The mid-year Dusty Rose was reserved for Bel-Airs from the factory from what I remember, but there's nothing that would've stopped a dealer or body-shop repaint. Charlie Larkin
volksrods Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Thanks everyone. How did I miss such nice, clean, SHINY :) build? Very well done. Did you paint the Chevy emblem or decals? They look good. Jim, I'm glad you liked it. I painted the emblem.
