Old Coyote Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 .... I lost one of my little girls at 1:50 AM this morning ............ Brindle, one of our Goldendoodles, had to be put down because of massive internal bleeding into the pleural cavity due to cancer ........... she would have been three years old on Tuesday ............... I'm having a really tough time rationalizing why this happened to one so young and so sweet .............. rest in peace baby girl

cobraman Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 That was way too short of time on this earth for that animal. I am sorry for your loss. As others have said a pet is a family member. I work at a Petco store and stories like yours are all too familure. The only thing that will help right now is time.
jerseyjunker1 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 i can only echo what everyone has said. i love all animals in fact i am raising a baby squirrel right now. i sure do feel your pain and god she was a pretty little girl
Greg Wann Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Sorry to hear of your loss. We have three miniature Dachshunds. Ty got sick recently and we found out he is diabetic we almost lost him. Now he gets nine units of insulin in the morning and at night. All three are on a strict feeding schedule now and no treats, just lots of belly rubs. We have the mother, she is the oldest and a puppy from one of the litters. The puppy experience was really cool! Ty was a great father and loved the little babies and missed them when they left.
espo Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Very sorry to hear about your loss. It is very hard to but into words what that is like. Like you we lost our 100 lb. male Lab., but to lung cancer. She will always be in your heart, as it should be.
Guest Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Sorry to hear of your loss. Our pets are our family, and I know very well the pain you are going thru. We had to put down one of our cats in 2009, due to kidney failure. The redeeming thing was she had lived a long life, almost 20 years. My prayers are with you sir.

W-Machine Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 sorry for your loss. our dogs give us so much and in return ask only for treats ad belly scratches. And the praise, "Good doggy!"
Shardik Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 By the very existence of this thread, I can see that she was loved and well cared for. Brindle's time may have been too short, but at least it was good time spent with good people. I'm glad you were there for her John.
