TooOld Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) Saw this on another forum but not any info . Does anyone know about these ? Edited October 15, 2012 by TooOld
Rob Hall Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 IIRC, those were announced last year at iHobby.
shucky Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Yeah I saw these at last years iHobby and they never came out.
mademan Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Yeah I saw these at last years iHobby and they never came out. the crossbars were somewhat available..... one of the guys over on Layitlow model forums had picked some up, without tires..... apparently the hold up is tires, and fitment issues id take a couple cases of the supremes (soverigns) , right now!
Greg Myers Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) Sovereign's ? http://www.rodauthority.com/news/the-supreme-sets-the-standard-for-mag-wheel-designs/ Edited October 15, 2012 by Greg Myers
Exotics_Builder Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 IIRC, those were announced last year at iHobby. Yes they were at the Pegasus booth last year. And they told me they would out early in the year. Same thing with the AutoWorld/AMT stuff. The Opel GT was displayed last year as well along with a couple of others yet to be released.
Maindrian Pace Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 They probably can't call them Astros. -MJS
Gluhead Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 You say that like it's a bad thing! These need to hit the shelves. I have more kits than I could ever build in my lifetime, but I have to dig deep through the stash every time a new project hits the bench for the right wheels & tires. These would fix that problem for at least a third of them.
Greg Myers Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I'm pretty sure these wheel and tire sets are for building Lowriders only.Correct me if I'wrong.
Draggon Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Someone on the Coffin Corner mentioned that a few of the crossbars had been sold, but that there "waiting" on a boat from China to deliver the goods.
tooltas Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 they work on all kind of rides lowrider 60's customs 50's olds they would look killer on it.
Tom Kren Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 they are not 19" more like the lowrider style rims toobad i would of bought tons of them!
Rob Hall Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 they are not 19" more like the lowrider style rims toobad i would of bought tons of them! Look more like 14 or 15 inch, which makes sense for late '50s-early 60s style they appear to be...(19 inch whitewalls???)
Ramfins59 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I'm pretty sure I'd take a set of all 4 of those too.
Gluhead Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 14's and 15's rock! That's one of my biggest issues with the majority of the aftermarket wheels and recent kit options...they're too dang big.
Bartster Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 l would buy a few sets. l had a set of Astro Supremes in '77-'78(?). l liked them better than my Rockets, which l traded for them! one of my better trades!
Drago Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Is there someone from Pegasus reading this thread??? Please, please.. these wheels must be on market as soon as possible. It is beatiful!
carrucha Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I would definitely buy a few sets if they are ever released.
Modlbldr Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Guess what I got from a friend yesterday?? They are the test shots of the Pegasus Cross bar wheels. Here it is on a Hudson tire. And mocked up on my 50 Ford Sedan. They are beautiful. I have wanted these for this build since I started the build over a year ago. FINALLY!! I love them and will be getting many more sets. My buddy also has the Astro Supremes and the Chrome reverse wheel sets. I see many more in my future. Later-
horsepower Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 YIPEEEE! really looking forward to these showing up on the LHS shelves. Thanks to Pegasus for finally gettin' the bugs worked out & getting these into production.
michaelbaskett Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 New wheels available now?... Anyone know where to buy?... Thanks...
Greg Myers Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I saw both used on a build on an other board. The builder said they were out.
