thatz4u Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 He is good, what level of model car could this guy build Doc?
Mooneyzs Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 That is totally cool... Thanks for sharing with us Virgil. man I could only imagine what he could do on a model.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 He is good, what level of model car could this guy build Doc? Who knows, Al. Sometimes you'd be surprised. I just love the fact that there are so many builders out there that are addicted to recreating the world in small scale.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 (edited) Pure magic, and thanks for directing us to it. There was a train modeler in Canada somewhere when I was a kid who was also an artist. He did the most incredible scenery and backdrops, but the astounding thing was his ability with lighting. He could make a scene look cold or warm by changing his sky-lighting, and it was truly beautiful. I've tried and tried to find a copy of the old Model Railroader (I think) that he was in, but I remember his work vividly to this day. Edited October 19, 2012 by Ace-Garageguy
cruz Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Very cool Doc, thanks for sharing, this guy is seriously talented!!
Dr. Cranky Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 I think he knows part of the whole trick is to build these things for the photographs. I think he's addicted to photography as well.
Ramfins59 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 That is pretty darn impressive. What a talented and creative mind he has to use such diverse items to create awesome pictures of nature's wonders.
Roger U Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Those are really creative and impressive skills. Thanks Doc for sharing it with us.
2002p51 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I think he knows part of the whole trick is to build these things for the photographs. I think he's addicted to photography as well. That's exactly right. The knowledge of photography and the managing of light is every bit as important to the success of those photos as is the modeling, if not more.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 Thanks, everyone, I am really delighted you have all enjoyed it. I keep trolling the internet for such people building out there. I am always pleasantly surprised by what's out there.
