bbowser Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 My latest completion, just finished the jewelry tonight. AMT kit, bone stock. I did go for the hopped-up motor option, dual carbs and dual exhaust. Hope you like, thanks for looking. Comments appreciated.
Sixties Sam Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Good looking Chevy! Good color choice, and very well done! Sam
PBII Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 That's very nice - clean and a great color for it
Lunajammer Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 This is the kind of build that got me into modeling as kid. Factory stock with plain Jane colors. It has a sentimental warmth like Americana. I love every bit of this Bruce. Split manifold, the sleeper of the day. And that stance is dead on, is that kit quality or did you adjust? Thanks for sharing.
Ramfins59 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Great job Bruce. These cars look great stock.

Thanks for sharing. It's all the kit. The body slid on like a glove, no teeth-gritting spreading to get the chassis in. Stance is unaltered. I really like the factory stock look and build most of them that way.
Erik Smith Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Great build. I too like a factory stock look - but slight mods a budget minded DIY owner might have done in the day. I also like the mundane color choice - what color is it?
David G. Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 A W E S O M E! Love the color and the detail! David G.
cobra98 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Very Nice, I like the concept of stock apperance with a bit of extra kick under the hood
realgone58 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Looks great! LOVE the color! great job on the BMF by the way!
bbowser Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 Great build. I too like a factory stock look - but slight mods a budget minded DIY owner might have done in the day. I also like the mundane color choice - what color is it? It's Rustoleum 'Painters Touch' gloss Sage Green. I don't have an airbrush so I'm always prowling the hardware stores for off-beat spray bombs. Thanks to everyone for all the nice comments. I enjoyed this build, the kit went together very well for me.
RandyB. Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Great looking '51 Chevy Bruce. The colour suits it perfectly!
