The Mercury & the Buick are the ONLY 2 in the series to

NOT be re-issued by Revell

I sure Wish they would though. The Buick, Even a Glue Bomb can

draw $50.oo+ in bids on that Evil Auction site!!!

I had no idea when I bought these! I was at a show and a dealer had a beer case bottom full of Premier, Palmer and small scale stuff. I wanted the Premier English Ford and I asked how much. He replied $20 and I thought he meant just for the Ford, and I would've paid that. Then he said, "For the box". I reached for my wallet quickly and as I was walking away a guy offered me $20 for these two and I declined. I didn't realize their worth until later! :D

You got a Deal!

I only paid $5.oo for my Mercury (Same Red)

It was also built, painted.

I got an AMT 60 Pontiac Bonneville Convert in the deal!!

Wish I had got the day before though. Seller told me she had had several other

Built models All equally as Old!!.

Oh well

I think I paid $4.oo total for the Blue metallic Custom 56 Ford Sunliner.

3.oo for the bagged built car, and another $1.oo for the Hood ornament.

I asked if the seller would sell the tote, but no, Bagged parts only!!

The Red Mercury is Stock and came with 2 women,

I am not sure on the Custom. I have not seen one yet

The Buick is also the Stock issue, I know that one was Metallic red

when re-issued later in Custom form.

I need to find mine to check if it is Blue or red

I'm not sure. I wasn't given much information on it. The roof line is a lot lower than the real one.

I picked up one of the reissue '56 Chryslers; really all it needs to be stock is the correct grille insert (the custom part has a '51 Meteor grille bar). Wish someone would cast up the original.

Since I have 3 of them I can offer one for that purpose!!!

Aren't the hubcaps different too though??

Of the 3 I have though, I only have 1 set of the figures Grandma/Aunt (Or Dad), Mom & Little Girl

Also, How about the Original Boxes for these 1/32 AMT/Revel 55/56 Annuals??

BARELY large enough for all the parts of the kit!!!

I have 2 Chrysler boxes and 1 Ford!!

Since they retooled the Ford to Stock the box art is a reprint of the original

Just Enlarged for the Long narrow boxes Most kits came in back then!!!

@Mark- I wish I did. I grew up with "what was affordable" if one of my parents cars went kaput. I really got into Pontiac's in high school. One of my friends had a '67 Grand Prix with a 400, another had a '76 T/A also with a 400, and my first car was a '72 LeMans Sport. It only had a 350, but it looked like a GTO(GTO's reverted back to an option again on the D37 LeMans...no longer a stand alone 242 car) with the RA hood and Endura front. Of all the vehicles I've owned over the years my LeMans is the one I truly miss the most.

Picked this '67 Bonneville up on ebay today for $50.00. Seems to be in great condition although it does have one of those "flat" paint jobs that can sometimes be problematic to remove. Only thing missing is the drivers seat. Anybody happen to have one? :) Steve

Are the '68 seats the same?

Got the testors lotus from eBay. Think I got an ok deal, paid less then $50. I hardly ever see these kits. The 2 ebbro's are from hlj. Great site and items arrived in less then a week. Have some other stuff preordered from them as well. Can't wait!

I got to say . those were the days when we were building these! Waiting for AMT's yearly releases was like September spying on the local car dealers for hidden ney cars!

I think the old annuals were the best kits hands down.

I agree! Maybe a little lacking in detail in areas, but the bodies were usually very nice, & you can't beat the subject matter! :) Steve

@lordairgtar- Not much left is there. Was just there early to mid last week and bought one of the spray can racks and one of the Corgi glass display cases a week before that. Both are pictured in the non-model related "what did you get today" thread. Don't know if I'll be going back anymore or not. The guy that's running the liquidation sale annoys me for some reason. I don't know why. It's his job, but....

Received from Joe Long (ferrari joe) today.

Can't wait to get started on this one...

I guess,.....,. I need to clear my bench... of all those,......in progress builds,......

Cheers
