Ray, How is the engine detail in that kit?

From what I have seen so far I would have to say only fair. I am hoping it builds up well. I have heard this kit is a pretty poor fitting kit. The body is in one piece but it is made to have removable doors and front and rear section. You just need to cut them apart. My plan is to leave the front attached to the door and just have the engine cover section removable. I put the exhaust together and there is a lot of sanding to do to them. Most of the parts do look pretty clean.

If the lifted one shown is anything like the lifted standard cab HiLux and 4Runner kits, the stock suspension is included.

That is some good info, thanks for sharing, off to PM ray to find out, so stock suspension, but no stock tires/wheels thought correct

That's how the HiLux and 4Runner are. I'm actually planning to build my second 4Runner with the stock suspension, and simply put a set of stock size tires from my Satco stash on it.

Now you are just teasing that you have some Satco tires in your stash  , I need to search to find some stock wheels /tires

:D I made a point to pick those up whenever I saw them, especially the truck tires. Glad I did.

Oh, and as far as what I got today; No model related stuff, but I did get the Hollywood Accessories No. 544 Safty Lite I won on Ebay earlier in the week. B) For those not familiar with them, it's an old school 3rd brake light from the '40s/'50s. About 14" wide and 3" tall, and says "S T O P" when lit up. I plan on mounting it to the front bed panel of my '55 Chevy pickup.

Dr. Cranky started a thread on these a month or so ago, and they finally came out yesterday, so I picked up a set. Now I just need to make a run to Michael's for a frame to preserve them...and to hang in the man cave with the other car art.IMG_3575_zpsbb9f2144.jpg

Just picked this up for my 1:1 today, it's a genuine SLP Ram Air H.O. hood. This exact hood was hanging on the wall at SLP, it's never been bolted on to any Firebird or Trans Am! From what I was told this is the first production hood that was made before they officially started converting cars into Firehawks (the WS6 hood was made from the same mold later on) and it was painted and hung on the wall to display along with other performance parts. The silver center, stripe, and SLP logo are all painted, that's no decal! I can't wait to get it bolted on, the plan is to have my Trans Am repainted over summer and the hood will be installed then. I'm going to fabricate an aluminum Ram Air intake box as well. I included a video of an episode of American Muscle Car that shows the hood hanging up at SLP (at around 2:25 in), and I got photos & some other documentation coming from SLP too which will be nice when we take the car to shows :)

(The hood is dirty in the pics since it was stored in a garage, it's not scratched up)
